NATIONAL STANDARD OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA ICS 59.080.01 W 04 GB/T 7568.2-2008 Replacing GB 7565-1987 Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Standard adjacent fabrics - Part 2. Cotton and viscose Issued on. August 06, 2008 Implemented on. June 01, 2009 Issued by. General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine; Standardization Administration Committee. Foreword ... 3 1 Scope ... 5 2 Normative references ... 5 3 Materials ... 6 4 Specifications of adjacent fabrics ... 6 5 Evaluation of staining properties of cotton and viscose fiber adjacent fabrics to be tested... 7 GB/T 7568 “Textiles -Tests for color fastness -Standard adjacent fabric” consists of seven parts. - Part 1. Specification for wool adjacent fabric; -Part 2. Cotton and viscose; Part 3. Polyamide; Part 4. Specification for polyester adjacent fabric; Part 5. Specification for acrylic adjacent fabric; Part 6. Specification for silk adjacent fabric; Part 7. Multifibre. This Part is Part 2 of GB/T 7568. This Part referred to ISO/DIS 105-F02.2008 “Textiles -- Tests for color fastness --Part F02. Specification for cotton and viscose adjacent fabrics” (English version). It is a revision to GB 7565-1987 “Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Specification for STANDARD adjacent fabric - Cotton and viscose”. This Part replaces GB 7565-1987 “Textiles -Tests for color fastness Specification for STANDARD adjacent fabric -Cotton and viscose”. Compared with GB 7565-1987, the main changes in this Part are as follows. -modified the name as “Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Standard adjacent fabrics - Part 2. Cotton and viscose”; - modified it from mandatory standard to recommended standard; -added GB/T 250, GB/T 4669, GB/T 7573, GB/T 8424.1, GB/T 8424.2, FZ/T 01023 and FZ/T 01024 in normative references, deleted GB/T 6151; -deleted the principle; -when making a cotton dyed base fabric, the dye dyed was changed from "Direct Blue 1" to "Direct Blue 71"; -the mass per unit area of cotton adjacent fabric was changed from "(105±5) g/m2" to "(115±10) g/m2"; -used spectrophotometric colorimeter instead of reflective whiteness meter to determine the whiteness; the whiteness values of cotton fabrics and adjacent fabrics - Part 2. Cotton and viscose 1 Scope This Part of GB/T 7568 specifies the specification and requirements for the evaluation of stained undyed cotton and viscose standard adjacent fabrics in textile color fastness tests. The staining properties of the cotton and viscose fiber adjacent fabrics are determined by comparison with cotton and viscose fiber adjacent fabrics with cotton dyed base fabrics. 2 Normative references The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this Part of GB/T 7568, constitute the provisions of this Part. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Part. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Part are encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are applicable. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this Part. GB/T 250, Gray scale for assessing change in color (GB/T 250-2008, ISO 105-A02.1993, IDT) GB/T 251, Gray scale for assessing staining (GB/T 251-2008, ISO 105A03.1993, IDT) GB/T 3921-2008, Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Color fastness to washing with soap or soap and soda (ISO 105-C10.2006, MOD) GB/T 4669, Textiles - Woven fabrics - Determination of mass per unit length and mass per unit area (GB/T 4669-2008, ISO 3801.1977, MOD) GB/T 7573, Textiles - Determination of pH of aqueous extract (GB/T 75732002, ISO 3071.1980, MOD) GB/T 8424.1, Textiles - Tests for color fastness - General principles for measurement of surface color (GB/T 8424.1-2001, eqv ISO 105-J01.1997) GB/T 8424.2, Textiles - Tests for color fastness - Instrumental assessment of 4.1.3 Water extract pH. 7.0±0.5, determined according to GB/T 7573. 4.2 Specifications of viscose fiber adjacent fabric 4.2.1 Mass per unit area. (140±5) g/m2, determined according to GB/T 4669. 4.2.2 Whiteness values. Y10 = 85±5.0 W10 = 75±6.0 TW, 10 = -1±1.2 The color measurement conditions containing specular reflection light shall be used in accordance with GB/T 8424.1 when performing the measurement, except the 0/45 (45/0) geometry spectrophotometer. The brightness value (Y10), the whiteness value (W10) and the light tone index (TW,10) shall be calculated according to GB/T 8424.2 using the CIE D65 standard illuminant and the CIE 1964 supplementary standard chromaticity system (10° observer). In order to obtain a uniform whiteness value, the lining fabric is folded at least four layers and then measured. 4.1.3 Water extract pH. 7.0±0.5, determined according to GB/T 7573. 5 Evaluation of staining properties of cotton and viscose fiber adjacent fabrics to be tested 5.1 General The results of the adjacent fabric in the color fastness test shall be reproducible. The most important performance is the standard staining performance. When tested with a cotton-dyed reference fabric, the cotton testing adjacent fabric shall have the same staining properties as the cotton base adjacent fabric. When tested with a cotton-dyed reference fabric, the viscose fiber to be tested shall have a staining performance consistent with the viscose fiber base fabric. 5.2 Test procedures 5.2.1 Test procedures for cotton adjacent fabrics to be tested ......
