Foreword
This document was drafted in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020
"Directives for standardization - Part 1.Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents".
This document is Part 7 of GB/T 713 "Steel plate, sheet and strip for pressure
equipments". GB/T713 has published 7 parts.
- Part 1.General requirements;
- Part 2.Non-alloy and alloy steel with specified temperature properties;
- Part 3.Low alloy steel with specified low temperature properties;
- Part 4.Nickel-alloy steels with specified low temperature properties;
- Part 5.High manganese steel with specified low temperature properties;
- Part 6.Quenched and tempered high strength steel;
- Part 7.Stainless steel and heat resisting steel.
This document replaces GB/T 24511-2017 "Stainless steel and heat resisting steel plate,
sheet and strip for pressure equipment". Compared with GB/T 24511-2017, in addition
to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as
follows.
a) CHANGE the lower limit of the thickness of cold-rolled steel plates and strips
from 1.5 mm to 0.30 mm (see Table 1; Table 1 of GB/T 24511-2017);
b) ADD the requirements for the designations, chemical compositions, mechanical
properties of five austenitic, three ferritic, two duplex stainless steels (see Tables
13 ~ 17);
c) CHANGE the chemical composition of three duplex stainless steel designations
(see Table 14; Table 14 of GB/T 24511-2017);
d) CHANGE the strength and elongation after break of some austenitic stainless
steels; ADD the impact performance (see Table 16; Table 16 of GB/T 24511-
2017);
e) ADD the surface condition requirements of "BA" stainless steel (see Table 19;
Table 19 of GB/T 24511-2017).

Stainless steel and heat resisting steel
1 Scope
This document specifies the ordering content, classification and code, size, shape,
weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and
quality certificate of stainless steel and heat-resistant steel plates and strips for pressure
equipment.
This document is applicable to hot-rolled stainless steel and heat-resistant steel plates
and strips (including coiled steel plates) and cold-rolled stainless steel and heat-resistant
steel plates and strips (including coiled steel plates), for pressure equipment with a
width of not less than 600 mm.

version corresponding to that date applies to this document; for undated references, the
