Foreword
GB/T 6175 is one national standard of “Hexagon nuts (part)” series. This series
includes.
- GB/T 41, Hexagon nuts, style 1, grade C;
- GB/T 6170, Hexagon nuts, style 1;
- GB/T 6171, Hexagon Nuts, Style 1-Fine Pitch Thread;
- GB/T 6172.1, Hexagon thin nuts (chamfered);
- GB/T 6173, Hexagon thin nuts (chamfered) with fin pitch thread;
- GB/T 6174, Hexagon thin nuts - unchamfered;
- GB/T 6175, Hexagon nuts, style 2;
- GB/T 6176, Hexagon nuts, style 2, with fine pitch thread;
- GB/T 6177.1, Hexagon nus wit flange, style 2;
- GB/T 6177.2, Hexagon nuts with flange, style 2 - Fine pitch thread.
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 6175-2000 Hexagon nuts, style 2. Compared with
GB/T 6175-2000, the main technical changes are as follows.
- deleted “If other technical requirements are required, ... select among
(such as GB/T 3098.2 and GB/T 3103.1)” (Clause 1 of Edition 2000);
- unified reference thread standards as GB/T 193, GB/T 9145 (Clause 2);
- deleted performance grade Grade 9 and added Grade 10 (Table 2);
- added QT - Quenching and tempering in mechanical properties of nuts
(Table 2);
- deleted steel nut surface oxidation; added. hot-dip galvanized layer
technical requirements shall be according to GB/T 5267.3 (Table 2);
- in marks, the performance grade shall be only allowed to omit. Grade 10,
instead of Grade 9 (5.2);
- in marks, the surface treatment shall be only allowed to omit. the surface
is not treated, instead of surface oxidation (5.2).
Hexagon nuts, style 2
1 Scope
This Standard specifies type sizes, technical conditions and marks of hexagon
nuts, style 2.
This Standard is applicable to hexagon nuts, style 2 of which thread sizes are
M5 ~ M36, performance grades are 10 and 12, the product grades are A and B.
Grade A is used for nuts of which D ≤ M16; Grade B is used for nuts of which
D > M16.
