Non-Metallic insert); compared with GB/T 6172.2-2000, this Part has the major
technical changes as follows.

3098.9 and GB/T 3103.1).” (Chapter 1 of 2000 Edition);

Thin Nuts (with Non-Metallic Insert)
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 6172 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and
markings of prevailing torque type hexagon thin nuts (with non-metallic insert).
This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque type hexagon thin nuts (with non-metallic
insert) with Thread Specification M3~M36, Property Class 04, 05, Product Grade A and
B. If D≤16mm, use Grade A nuts; if D>16mm, use Grade B nuts.
NOTE. such nuts is equivalent to the GB/T 6172.1 plus the effective torque part.
