Foreword
This Part is one of the series of national standards "Fastener surface treatment".
The series includes:
a) GB/T 5267.1-2002, Fasteners - Electroplated Coatings;
b) GB/T 5267.2-2002, Fasteners - Non-electrolytically applied zinc flake
coatings;
c) GB/T 5267.3-2002, Fasteners - Hot dip galvanized coatings;
d) GB/T 5267.4-2002, Passivation of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel
fasteners.
This Part is Part 4 of GB/T 5267.
This Part identically adopts the international standard ISO 16048:2003
"Passivation of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel fasteners" (English version).
In the normative references, use Chinese standards to replace international
standards (Chapter 2).
Annex A of this Part is informative.
This Part was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on
Fasteners of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 85).
Main drafting organizations of this Part: China Machinery Productivity
Promotion Center.
This Part is explained by the Secretariat of National Technical Committee on
Fasteners of Standardization Administration of China.
Passivation of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel
fasteners
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 5267 specifies the methods most often used for passivation
of corrosion-resistant stainless-steel fasteners.
Typical anodic dissolution behaviour of an active-passive-transpassive metal is
given in Annex A.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Part of GB/T 5267. For dated references, the
subsequent amendments (excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to
this Standard, however, parties who reach an agreement based on this
Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are
applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the referenced
document applies.
