3 Requirements
3.1 Product classification
3.1.1 Designation, supply state
The designations and supply state of the tubes shall meet the requirements of
Table 1. When the purchaser needs other designations and supply state, it shall
be indicated in the order form (or contract) after negotiation between the
supplier and the purchaser.
allowed on the surface of the tube.
3.13.3 The surface of the tube is allowed to have mold marks caused by the
mold. Its depth does not exceed 0.2mm.
3.13.4 The surface of the tube is allowed to have straightening spiral marks that
do not affect the outer diameter size. Its depth shall not exceed 0.5mm.
4 Test methods
4.1 Chemical composition
4.1.1 The analysis method for chemical composition shall meet the
requirements of GB/T 20975 or GB/T 7999. Arbitration analysis shall adopt the
method specified in GB/T 20975.
4.1.2 For designations of 5051A, 6041, 6042, 6162, 6064, 6066, 7178, routine
chemical analysis is only performed on elements with numerical regulations
outside the "Al" and "other impurities" columns in Table 2. When it is suspected
that the mass fraction of unconventional analysis elements exceeds the limit
value of this Part, the producer shall analyze these elements.
4.1.3 "Al" content is calculated according to the method specified in GB/T 3190.
When calculating the "Al" content, take the sum of the analysis values of the
conventional analysis elements and the suspected excessive unconventional
analysis elements as the "sum of element content".
4.1.4 Use rounding off comparison method to determine the analysis values.
Numerical rounding rules are carried out in accordance with the relevant
regulations of GB/T 8170. The rounded digits shall be consistent with the limit
digits specified in Table 2 or GB/T 3190.
4.2 Size deviation
The measurement method for size deviation of the tube shall meet the
requirements of GB/T 4436.
4.3 Tensile mechanical properties at room temperature
The test method for longitudinal tensile mechanical properties of the tubes at
room temperature shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 16865.
4.4 Hardness
4.4.1 The Webster's hardness test method of the tubes shall be carried out
according to YS/T 420.
4.11 Microstructure
The microstructure inspection method of the tubes shall meet the requirements
of GB/T 3246.1.
4.12 Appearance quality
Under natural scattered light, visually inspect the appearance quality. When
necessary, borrow size measurement tools to define the size of the defect.
Determine the depth of defects by grinding.
5 Inspection rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
5.1.1 Products shall be inspected by the supplier to ensure that the product
quality meets the requirements of this Part and the order sheet (or contract).
Fill in the quality certificate.
5.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the products received in accordance with the
provisions of this Part. When the inspection result does not conform to the
provisions of this Part and the order sheet (or contract), it shall be submitted to
the supplier in a written form, and the supplier and the purchaser will negotiate
and resolve. Objections that belong to surface quality and size deviation shall
be raised within one month from the date of receipt of the product. Objections
related to other properties shall be raised within 3 months from the date of
receipt of the product. If arbitration is required, it can be entrusted to an
organization recognized by both parties. Jointly conduct sampling at the
purchaser’s.
5.2 Batching
Products shall be submitted for acceptance in batches. Each batch shall consist
of products of the same designation, the same supply state and the same size
specifications. The batch weight is not limited.
5.3 Weighting
The products shall be checked and weighed (unless otherwise agreed by both
parties).
5.4 Inspection items
5.4.1 Each batch of tubes shall be inspected for chemical composition, size
deviation, tensile mechanical properties at room temperature, macrostructure
and appearance quality before leaving the factory.
furnace) is determined as rejected. But the supplier is allowed to repeat the heat
treatment. Resample to inspect the tensile mechanical properties at room
temperature and electrical conductivity.
5.6.5 When the spalling corrosion performance of any specimen fails, this batch
(or heat treatment furnace) of tubes is determined as rejected. But the supplier
is allowed to repeat the heat treatment. Resample to inspect tensile mechanical
properties at room temperature, electrical conductivity, exfoliation corrosion
properties, stress corrosion properties.
5.6.6 When the intergranular corrosion performance of any specimen fails, this
batch (or heat treatment furnace) of tubes is determined as rejected. But the
supplier is allowed to repeat the heat treatment. Resample to inspect tensile
mechanical properties at room temperature, electrical conductivity and
intergranular corrosion properties.
5.6.7 When the stress corrosion performance of any specimen fails, this batch
(or heat treatment furnace) of tubes is determined as rejected. But the supplier
is allowed to repeat the heat treatment. Resample to inspect tensile mechanical
properties at room temperature, electrical conductivity and stress corrosion
properties.
5.6.8 When the ultrasonic flaw detection result of any specimen fails, this piece
is determined as rejected.
5.6.9 When the macrostructure of any specimen fails, it is determined as follows:
a) When metallurgical defects such as cracks, bright crystal grains, non-
metallic inclusions, compound segregation or intermetallic compounds fail,
this batch of tubes is determined as rejected. However, upon agreement
between the supplier and the purchaser, the supplier can inspect one by
one. Only accepted products are delivered.
b) When it is rejected due to tail shrinkage, coarse crystal ring, and layer
formation, it is allowed to cut a section from the end of the tube extrusion
and repeat the test until it is conforming. Then the other tubes in the batch
shall be tail-cut or inspected one by one according to the maximum length
of the above-mentioned defect distribution of the inspected tube. Only
accepted products are delivered.
5.6.10 When the microstructure of any specimen is rejected, the furnace
number of the tubes that can distinguish the heat treatment furnace number
represented by this specimen shall be rejected. Other furnace numbers shall
be inspected in sequence. Only accepted products are delivered. If the furnace
number cannot be distinguished, this batch of tubes shall be determined as
rejected.
