3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB 5768.2-
2022, GB 5768.3, GB 5768.4, GB 14886 and GA 802 as well as the followings apply.
3.1 test site
A closed site environment that provides R&D testing, technology verification,
capability assessment and other services for automatic vehicles.
4 General requirements
4.1 The test site shall have roads, traffic safety facilities and service facilities required
for automatic driving testing.
4.2 The test site shall take overall consideration of traffic organization, roads and
ancillary facilities. Layout is reasonable. It is advisable to ensure continuous testing in
different scenarios.
4.3 Test sites shall be physically separated from public roads and have access control
systems.
4.4 The color, shape, characters, size, graphics and setting requirements of traffic signs
in the test site shall comply with the regulations of GB 5768.2-2022. The color, shape,
characters, size, graphics and setting requirements of traffic markings shall comply with
the provisions of GB 5768.3.
5 Road main bodies
5.1 Basic requirements

8.3 Toll station
The toll station shall include elements such as crossbars, deceleration hills, deceleration
markings, toll station signs, speed limit signs, and guard booths. Conditional test sites
shall be equipped with toll plazas, toll islands, toll ceilings, and non-stop toll collection
systems. The number of entrance-exit toll lanes at a toll station shall not be less than 2.
The facility setting of toll stations shall comply with the provisions of 7.4 in JTG D80-
2006.
8.4 Vehicle target
Vehicle targets shall have functions such as general acceleration and deceleration, lane
changing, and emergency braking.
8.5 Pedestrian target
The appearance of the pedestrian target shall have the same reflective characteristics as
a real person. It shall also have the function of walking.
8.6 Non-motor vehicle target
The appearance of non-motor vehicle targets shall conform to the appearance
characteristics of non-motor vehicles. Surface feature parameters can represent non-
motor vehicle characteristics and shall have driving functions.
9 Supporting service facilities
9.1 Communication requirements
9.1.1 The test site shall contain roadside wireless communication equipment with full
coverage and low latency. Wireless communication equipment shall support at least one
of cellular communication, dedicated short-range communication or wireless LAN
communication to support communication between roadside equipment and vehicle-
mounted equipment. Wired communication equipment shall have optical
communication interfaces and RJ45 interfaces.
9.1.2 The test site shall have satellite signals capable of supporting centimeter-level
high-precision positioning.
9.1.3 The test site communication network shall connect roadside communication
equipment through wired or wireless connections. Services such as information
reception, transmission, exchange, processing and storage shall be provided for site
managers and testers. Data centers and monitoring centers shall be established at test
sites where conditions permit.
9.1.4 The test site shall be equipped with radio communication equipment to ensure
real-time communication among personnel in the test site.
9.2 Power supply requirements
