This Part is Part 9 of GB/T 4214. This Part is used in conjunction with GB/T 4214.1-2017. The contents of this Part that say "applicable" means that the corresponding provisions in GB/T 4214.1-2017 are applicable to this Part; the contents that say “replacement” in this Part is subject to the provisions of this Part; the contents that say “addition” means that in addition to complying with the corresponding provisions in GB/T 4214.1-2017, it is also necessary to comply with the provisions added in the provisions of this Part. This Part was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part used redrafting method to modify and adopt IEC 60704-2-7:2020 Household and Similar Electrical Appliances – Test Code for the Determination of Airborne Acoustical Noise – Part 2-7: Particular Requirements for Fans. The Technical differences and causes between this Part and IEC 60704-2-7:2020 are as follows: --- Combined with the situation of China's fan product industry, add the floor fans to the scope (Clause 1, and 1.1.1); --- Combined with the situation of China's fan product industry, add term and definition of 3.115 floor fans (Clause 3); --- Definitions 3.101~3.109 have repeatedly used the definition of comfort fans in IEC 60879:2019, so add the term and definition of 3.116 comfort fans for ease of use and understanding (Clause 3); --- Describe the test height of height-adjustable table fans, floor fans and pedestal fans in details, and list the situations that can be automatically oscillated. Reason: Clarify the test height and automatic swing of height-adjustable table fans, floor fans and pedestal fans (see 6.4.1); --- Add the ceiling bracket fans, because the installation method of the ceiling bracket is the same as that of the ceiling fans (6.5.1); --- Add the installation method of the wall bracket fans, so that clarify the installation method of the wall bracket fans (6.5.4); --- Add floor fans to the 7.1.1 the scope of application of the measurement surface. Reason: The above-mentioned type of fan is added to the scope of Clause 1 (7.1.1); --- Describe the high pedestal fans that is applicable to the measurement surface in 7.1.6, which is applicable to the non-adjustable height pedestal fans whose geometric center of the reference body is greater than 1m from the ground. Reason: Clarify the range of the high pedestal fans (7.1.6). This Part made the following editorial modifications: --- In order to keep consistent with the existing standard series, change the standard name into Test Method for Noise of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances – Particular Requirements for Fans. This Part was proposed by China National Light Industry Council. Test Method for Noise of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances – Particular Requirements for Fans 1 Scope and Object This Clause of GB/T 4214.1-2017 is applicable except as follows: 1.1 Scope 1.1.1 General Replacement: This Part of GB/T 4214 applies to electrical fans (hereinafter referred to as fans) including their accessories and their component parts for household and similar use, designed for AC or DC supply. The motor, the impeller and their housing, if any, form a single unit. This Part apply to: – conventional fans, – table fans, – pedestal fans, – ceiling fans, – bladeless fans, – wall bracket fans, – ceiling bracket fans, – louver fans, – tower fans, – ventilating and partition ventilating fans, – pedestal fan. 5 Instrumentation This Clause GB/T 4214.1-2017 is applicable except as follows: Addition: The use of a windscreen is mandatory, and necessary corrections for changes in the microphone sensitivity shall be added to the observed sound pressure levels. 6 Operation and Location of Appliances under Test This Clause GB/T 4214.1-2017 is applicable except as follows: 6.2 Supply of electricity and of water or gas 6.2.3 Not applicable. 6.2.4 Not applicable. 6.4 Loading and operating of appliances during tests 6.4.1 Replacement: Load and operation should simulate normal use. Fans that can be tilted during normal use shall be located in the position with the highest emitted noise level, and the duration of the measurement shall be at least 10 s. For height-adjustable table fans, floor fans and pedestal fans, adjust the center of the motor shaft of the appliance to a height of 1.5m from the ground. If the maximum height of the appliance is less than 1.5m, test at the maximum height. Fans that can oscillate automatically (shaking head, swinging blades, guide vane wind wheel rotation, etc.) shall operate when oscillating. In the case of oscillating appliances, the A- weighted sound pressure level shall be averaged on at least one complete cycle. 6.4.3 Not applicable. 6.5 Location and mounting of appliances 6.5.1 Addition: Ceiling fans and ceiling bracket fans may be hung from a special support instead of from the ceiling. In this case, care shall be taken to ensure that the means of suspension or clamping do not change the sound output of the appliance. In order not to restrict the airflow, the distance between the lowest edge of the appliance and the reflecting plane (usually the floor) shall be at ......
