e) Alignment detection result;
f) Mechanical air gap or ground clearance.
5.8.4 Alignment detection
The on-board devices of MF-WPT system shall have a function of alignment detection,
which can offer feedback about whether the secondary devices are within the offset
range specified by the device manufacturer. If it is detected that the offset range is
exceeded, then, MF-WPT system sends out a warning, and stops charging, or, does
not initiate charging.
5.8.5 Foreign object detection
The off-board devices of MF-WPT system shall have a function of foreign object
detection, which can identify foreign objects that affect the wireless power transmission
above the primary devices. See Table 7 for conventional foreign objects. If a foreign
object is detected, then, MF-WPT system sends out a warning, and stops charging, or,
does not initiate charging.
5.8.6 Protection of living body
The off-board devices of MF-WPT system should have a function of living body
protection, which can judge whether a living body exists in Protection Area 1 and 2 in
GB/T 38775.4-2020. If a living body is detected, then, MF-WPT system sends out a
warning, and stops charging, or, does not initiate charging.
5.8.7 Safety interlocking
The state of being charged and the vehicle’s driving mode shall be in an interlocking
relationship.
5.8.8 Man-machine interaction function
MF-WPT system shall display the following information or state:
a) System operation state indication: standby, charging, abnormality; in the
abnormal state, the cause for the abnormality should be displayed;
6 Communication Requirements
6.1 Command and Control Communication
MF-WPT system shall be equipped with the capability of wireless communication
between the off-board devices and the on-board devices. Through signaling, the
control of the wireless power transmission process and the interaction of relevant and
necessary information can be implemented, so as to ensure the safe and reliable
operation of MF-WPT system.
6.2 High-level Communication
In high-level communication, MF-WPT system shall be equipped with the capability of
wireless communication among the off-board devices, the on-board devices and the
wireless charging control and management system. Through signaling, the wireless
power transmission control, and the interaction of operation data and other relevant
and necessary information can be implemented.
7 Technical Requirements
7.1 System Efficiency
MF-WPT system efficiency shall comply with the stipulations of 5.1. This Clause is
applicable to power level: MF-WPT1, MF-WPT2 and MF-WPT3.
NOTE: the test of other power levels will be determined in the subsequent versions.
7.2 Power Factor
Under the rated input and rated output conditions, MF-WPT system’s input power
factor shall be not lower than 0.98.
7.3 Input Harmonic Current
Merely applicable to the following categories of wireless charging devices:
a) Rated voltage 220 V; connection mode: single-phase three-wire system;
b) Rated voltage 380 V; connection mode: three-phase four-wire system or
three-phase five-wire system;
c) Rated frequency: 50 Hz.
When the input current per phase is less than or equals to 16 A, the power supply
devices connected to the public low-voltage AC distribution system shall comply with
relevant stipulations of GB/T 17625.1. All power supply devices are Type-A devices.
than 0.1 . There shall be not less than 3 measurement points. If the measurement
points are coated with anti-corrosion paint, the anti-corrosion paint shall be scraped off
to expose the non-insulating material, then, conduct the test. The grounding terminal
shall have an obvious sign.
8.6.2 IP level of enclosure
The IP protection level of the enclosure of charging cabinet and cold-source cabinet
shall comply with the requirements of 10.2.5.2 in GB/T 38775.1-2020. The test method
shall comply with the stipulations of Chapter 13 and Chapter 14 in GB/T 4208-2017.
The IP protection level of the various modules of the on-board devices shall comply
with the requirements of 10.2.5.4 in GB/T 38775.1-2020. The test method shall comply
with the stipulations of Chapter 13 and Chapter 14 in GB/T 4208-2017.
8.6.3 IP level of primary devices
The IP protection level of primary devices shall comply with the requirements of
10.2.5.3 in GB/T 38775.1-2020. The test method shall comply with the stipulations of

Chapter 13 and Chapter 14 in GB/T 4208-2017.
8.6.5 Discharge test of capacitors in devices
Discharge test of capacitors in the devices shall adopt one of the following two methods:
a) When MF-WPT system is normally operating, the timer starts when the
external connection terminal of the device is disconnected. When the voltage
between the conductive part accessible by personnel, or between any
conductive part and the protective conductor reduces to 60 V DC, or, the
stored power reduces to 0.2 J, stop the timer. This period is the discharge
time. It is required that the discharge time shall not exceed 1 s;
b) Check the connection terminal after the external connection of the device is
disconnected. If it can satisfy IPXXB protection level, then, the discharge time
test is unnecessary.
8.6.6 Size of protective conductor
The size of protective conductor of MF-WPT system shall comply with the stipulations
of Chapter 543 in GB/T 16895.3-2017.
In terms of MF-WPT system whose rated current is larger than 16 A, a Vernier caliper
speed may be set to 5 kW/s. MF-WPT system shall automatically enter the current limit
output state, or, cut off the DC output. In addition, the off-board devices shall issue an
alarm prompt.
8.8.2 Short-circuit protection test
MF-WPT system output is connected to the load. In addition, set it to operate under
the rated load state. Short-circuit the DC output end of MF-WPT system, and the MF-
WPT system shall cut off the DC output. In addition, the off-board devices shall issue
an alarm prompt.
8.8.3 Temperature rise and ignition test
The test method of allowable surface temperature of accessible parts of MF-WPT
system is shown in the provisions of 10.4.2 in GB/T 38775.1-2020. The temperature
limit test of the material is shown in the provisions of 10.4.3 in GB/T 38775.1-2020.
The foreign object detection between the primary and secondary side of MF-WPT
system needs to test the temperature of the enclosure of the foreign object, and the
temperature at 20 cm, 40 cm and 60 cm horizontally from the foreign object. The
requirements for the temperature rise and ignition test of foreign object detection are
shown in Table 7. The layout of the temperature rise test and ignition test of foreign
object detection is shown in Figure 6.
