This Standard applies to (but not limited to) the following non-road mobile machinery engines with a net power of not more than 19 kW: - Lawn mower ; - Chain saw; - Generator; - Water pump; - Brush cutter; - Mini-tiller; - Rice transplanter; - Hedgerow machine; - Hair dryer; - Snowplow; - High-pressure washer; - Vibratory plate compactor; - Troweling machine. This Standard does not apply to engines for the following purposes: - Engines used to drive ships; 3.1 Fuel consumption The amount of fuel consumed by an engine per unit time under specified environmental conditions and specified power. [GB/T 21404-2008, definition 3.4.1] 3.2 Specific fuel consumption The amount of fuel consumed by an engine per unit power and unit time. [GB/T 21404-2008, definition 3.4.1.1] 3.3 Running mode specific fuel consumption The weighted mean of the specific fuel consumption of an engine under multiple working conditions. 3.4 Net power The power measured from the crankshaft end or its equivalent parts, at the corresponding engine speed, when the engine is installed with engine installation and accessories in accordance with the requirements of Table A.1 in Appendix A on the test bench. 3.5 Intermediate speed 85% of the rated speed when the engine is tested in the G1 cycle. 4 Technical requirements 4.1 Engine classification The engine category code and corresponding working volume are shown in Table 1. Hand-held engines are represented by "SH". Non-hand-held engines are represented by "FSH". Appendix B (Normative) Standard reference condition power correction and test procedure B.1 Reference condition power correction B.1.1 Standard reference condition In order to determine the power and fuel consumption of the engine, the following standard reference condition shall be used: Total air pressure: Pr=100 kPa; Air temperature: Tr=298 K (tr=25 °C); Relative humidity: ϕr=30%. B.1.2 Power correction calculation method The power correction method shall be in accordance with the requirements in Clause 7 of GB/T 21404-2008. B.2 Test procedure B.2.1 Test conditions B.2.1.1 Engine's intake system The test engine shall be equipped with an intake system that is representative of the actual use. When the engine uses a clean air filter and operates according to the maximum intake air flow condition of the corresponding purpose, its intake resistance shall be within 110% of the upper limit specified by the manufacturing enterprise. B.2.1.2 Engine's exhaust system The test engine shall be equipped with an exhaust system that is representative of the actual use. When the engine is running at the maximum rated power condition for the corresponding purpose, its exhaust back pressure shall be within 110% of the upper limit specified by the manufacturing enterprise. B.2.1.3 Cooling system The engine cooling system used shall have sufficient capacity to maintain the engine at the normal operating temperature specified by the manufacturing enterprise. B.2.1.4 Lubricating oil The lubricating oil, specified by the engine manufacturing enterprise for the engine and its intended use, shall be selected. The specification of lubricating oil used for engine test shall be recorded in D.1.2. And it shall be shown together with the test result. B.2.1.5 Test fuel It shall use gasoline that meets GB 17930 or benchmark gasoline that meets the technical requirements of GB 18352.5; or use ethanol gasoline that meets the technical requirements of GB 18351. The fuel/lubricating oil mixture ratio of the two-stroke engine shall meet the recommended value of the manufacturing enterprise and be recorded in D.1.1. B.2.1.6 Dynamometer setting It shall remove the accessories only needed to operate non-road mobile machinery. Where the accessories cannot be removed, the absorbed power of these accessories shall be determined, to calculate the dynamometer setting; unless the accessories are an integral part of the engine (such as the cooling fan of an air-cooled engine). Engine intake resistance and exhaust back pressure shall be adjusted according to B.2.1.1 and B.2.1.2. In order to calculate the torque value of the specified test conditions, through the test, the maximum torque value at the specified test speed shall be determined. For engines that are not designed to work within the speed range of the full-load torque curve, the manufacturing enterprise shall specify the maximum torque value at the test speed. The setting value of the dynamometer under each test condition shall be calculated according to formula (B.1): Where: S - The setting value of dynamometer, in kilowatts (kW); PM - The maximum power measured under the test conditions and test speed in Appendix A or declared by the manufacturing enterprise, in kilowatts (kW); PAE - The power absorbed by the accessories declared in addition to Appendix ......
