Corrosive classification 1 Scope This Part of GB/T 34710 specifies the method for corrosive classification of mixture gas. This Part applies to the corrosive classification of mixture gas. 2 Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 2.1 Corrosive gas A gas which can destroy or damage living tissues (eyes, skin, and mucous membranes) of the human body. 2.2 Excitant gas A gas which can cause a temporary reaction of living tissues (eyes, skin, and mucous membranes) of the human body. 3 Symbols The following symbols apply to this document. C+. Strong corrosive component; C. Corrosive component; i. Excitant component; nc. Non-corrosive component; LC+. Lower limit value of volume fraction of strong corrosive mixture gas; LC. Lower limit value of volume fraction of corrosive mixture gas; Li. Lower limit value of volume fraction of excitant mixture gas. mixture gas is corrosive. If the volume fraction of the component is less than 0.2×10-2 and greater than or equal to 0.02×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is excitant. If the volume fraction of the component is less than 0.02×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is non-excitant. b) When a corrosive component is contained, if the volume fraction of the component is greater than or equal to 5×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is corrosive. If the volume fraction of the component is less than 5×10- 2 and greater than or equal to 0.5×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is excitant. If the volume fraction of the component is less than 0.5×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is non-excitant. c) When an excitant component is contained, if the volume fraction of the component is greater than or equal to 5×10-2, the category of the mixture gas is excitant. If the volume fraction of the component is less than 5×10- 2, the category of the mixture gas is non-excitant. 5.3.3 Example. a) The corrosive category of the mixture gas having an ammonia content of 6×10-2 (volume fraction) and nitrogen is determined. b) Refer to Table A.1 of Appendix A; the corrosive category of ammonia is C. c) The ammonia content in the mixture gas is 6×10-2 (volume fraction). In accordance with column C of Table 1, according to 5.3.2b), the mixture gas is judged to be a corrosive mixture gas. 5.4 Corrosive determination of mixture gas containing various corrosive components 5.4.1 Strong corrosive determination steps and example 5.4.1.1 First, refer to Table A.1 of Appendix A, to confirm that the mixture gas contains strong corrosive component gases. 5.4.1.2 According to formula (1), calculate xC+ Where. φC+ - Volume fraction of each strong corrosive component; 5.4.3. 5.4.2.4 Example. a) Determine the corrosive category of the mixture gas having a hydrogen fluoride content of 0.1×10-2 (volume fraction), a chlorine gas content of 0.1×10-2 (volume fraction), a phosgene content of 2×10-2 (volume fraction), a hydrogen cyanide content of 3×10-2 (volume fraction), and nitrogen. b) Refer to Table A.1 of Appendix A; the corrosive category of hydrogen fluoride is C+; the corrosive category of chlorine gas is C+; and the corrosive category of phosgene is C. c) According to formula (1), calculate the value xC+. d) Since xC+ is less than 1, according to formula (2), calculate the value xC e) Since xC is greater than 1, according to 5.4.2.3, the mixture gas is judged to be a corrosive mixture gas. 5.4.3 Excitant determination steps and example 5.4.3.1 First, refer to Table A.1 of Appendix A, to confirm that the mixture gas contains strong corrosive, corrosive, excitant, and other component gases. 5.4.3.2 According to formula (3), calculate the value xCi. Where. φi - Volume fraction of each excitant component; Li1 - The lower limit value of volume fraction of strong corrosive mixture gas. In accordance with Table 1, Li1=0.02×10-2 (volume fraction); ......
