This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard was proposed by and under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Commerce of
the PRC.

Dismantling Manual of End-of-Life Vehicles
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the compiling terms and definitions, general compiling
principles, compiling entries and requirements for the dismantling manual (hereinafter
referred to as manual) of end-of-life vehicles.
This Standard is applicable to the compiling for M1, N1 vehicle enterprises manuals;
while the compiling for other types of vehicles enterprises manuals can refer to.
NOTE. M1, N1 types of vehicles can refer to GB/T 15089.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 End-of-life vehicles. ELVs
Vehicles that reach the state motor vehicles’ mandatory scrapping standard.
5.5.2 The safety warning instructions shall uniformly and carefully explain the safety
markings quoted in the Manual, which shall conform to the provisions of GB 2894.
5.6 Vehicle dismantling process and instructions
5.6.1 General requirements
5.6.1.1 The vehicle dismantling process and instructions shall contain two stages
contents of pretreatment and removal. The enterprise shall, according to the vehicle
model actual structure and configuration situation, combining the actual situation of the
dismantling enterprise, supplement or delete against this Standard involved part scope.
5.6.1.2 The Manual shall carefully instruct the relevant part information involved in
each section, the specifically involved contents and requirements are as follows.
a) Graphic information. The graphic information shall demonstrate the position and
shape of parts in the vehicle; if necessary, accompanied by the text instructions.
b) Component name, position, quantity, quality and main materials information. It
includes the part name, installation position, quantity, quality (reference value),
main materials and the like information; accompanied by necessary text
instructions; guide the dismantling personnel to efficiently classify and recover
the parts and materials.
c) Fastening methods, dismantling tools, dismantling methods, recycling
instructions, etc. It includes the parts used fastening method, dismantling tools
and dismantling methods, and the like information.
d) Storage requirements. The dismantling parts and materials that have special
requirements for storage shall include the storage instructions.
e) Precautions. It shall include the flammable, explosive, corrosive and other
dangerous tips; confirm the prohibited behavior, correct self-protection behavior
during the dismantling process; so that efficiently ensure the personal safety of
the dismantling personnel and reduce the environmental damage.
5.6.2 Pretreatment
5.6.2.1 The description and instruction of parts involved in the pretreatment process
shall conform to the provisions of GB 4094 for the benefit of dismantling personnel.
During the dismantling operation, special attention shall be paid to the safety,
environmental protection, and operation requirements; it shall be accompanied with
necessary text instructions, so that ensure the Manual precautions brief and eye-
catching.
5.6.2.2 The pretreatment shall instruction the following contents according to the
requirements of 5.6.1.
