for Indoor Stone Furniture
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test
methods, inspection rules, mark, use instruction, package, transportation, storage of
the indoor stone furniture.
This Standard is applicable to the design and production of indoor stone furniture
products. The outdoor stone furniture can also be referred to.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions and those ones stipulated in GB/T 28202-2011 and
GB/T 13890-2008 are applicable to this document.
3.1 Stone furniture
Furniture completely made of stone; or its major components are made of stone.
NOTE. The stone contains natural stone and artificial stone.
3.2 Artificial stone
The material taking high molecular polymer or cement or a mixture of the two as the
bonding material, taking natural stone crushed (powder) and/or natural quartz stone
(sand, powder) or aluminum hydroxide powder as the main raw materials, adding
pigments and other adjuvants through mixing, solidifying and the like procedures.
4 Classification
4.1 According to the classification of stone made of the product, it can be divided into.
a) Natural stone furniture;
b) Artificial stone furniture.
4.2 According to the function, it can be divided into.
a) Table-like stone furniture;
b) Chair-stool-like stone furniture;
c) Cabinet-like stone furniture;
d) Bed-like stone furniture.
5 Requirements
5.1 Major dimension deviation (general item)
The limit deviation of the product appearance width, depth and height shall be ±5mm;
the limit deviation of the matching or combining product shall take the same positive
or negative value.
6 Test Methods
6.1 Main dimensional deviation, shape and position tolerance test
The test on main dimensional deviation, shape and position tolerance shall be
performed as per the provisions of 6.1 and 6.2 in GB/T 3324-2008.
6.2 Appearance inspection
6.2.1 Fading, color-losing test
3 positions on the outer surface and interior finishing part of the product shall be tested;
use the wet white absorbent gauze to wipe back and forth for three times by hand; the
reciprocating distance of the wiping shall be 200mm ~ 300mm. Observe whether the
gauze has the color from the painted part.
6.2.2 Test on other appearance test items
It shall be measured through the visual examination or steel ruler with accuracy of
0.5mm under the natural light or ambient natural light with light illuminance of 300lx ~
600lx (for instance, 40W fluorescent lamp), with the sight distance is of 700mm ~
1000mm. In case of dispute, it shall be tested by 3 persons jointly; the test results shall
be subject to the one that is agreed by 2 or more persons.
6.3 Test methods on physical and chemical performance
It shall be performed as per the provisions of Table 3.
6.4 Test methods on mechanical properties
It shall be performed as per the provisions of Table 4.
6.5 Test on limits of hazardous substances
The product stone parts shall be performed as per the provisions of GB 6566. When
the product consists of two or more kinds of stones, it needs to be separately sampled
and measured.
6.6 Mark
Check whether the product has a mark, the content of which shall be checked as per
the 8.1.
6.7 Use instructions
Check whether the product has use instructions, the content of which shall be checked
as per 8.2.
7.2.3.1 Judgment of single product
If the product with basic items all qualified, the disqualified general items not exceeding
3 items, then such product shall be qualified; otherwise it is disqualified.
7.2.3.2 Judgement of complete set of products
When each product in such set are qualified, then such set of products shall be judged
qualified; otherwise it is disqualified.
7.2.3.3 Judgement of batch of products
According to the sample size, take the sampling quantity as per the provisions of Table
5; if the number of disqualified products is less than or equal to the acceptance number
(Ac), then such batch of products shall be judged qualified; if the number of disqualified
products is greater than or equal to rejection number (Re), then such batch of products
shall be judged disqualified.
7.3 Type inspection
7.3.1 In addition to all items except the contract requirements, the type inspection also
shall be performed in one of the following cases.
a) It shall be inspected regularly when the production is officially carried out; the
inspection period is generally one year;
b) When the raw and auxiliary materials and their production processes undergo
major changes;
c) When the production is restored after shutdown for half a year or more;
d) When the new or old products are performed trial-type identification;
e) When the user submits the type inspection or it is required on the ordering
contract;
f) When the Quality Supervision Department proposed the requirements.
7.3.2 Sampling rules
In one inspection cycle, two samples are randomly selected from recently produced
products; one for inspection and one for storage.
7.3.3 Inspection procedures
The inspection procedures shall try to follow the principle of minimizing the effects on
the correctness of the remaining inspection items.
c) Control indicators for the limit of the hazardous substance in the product;
d) Technical requirements and precautions for product installation and adjustment;
e) Product use methods and precautions;
f) Product failure analysis and elimination, maintenance methods;
g) “Warning instructions. the stone parts are fragile; avoid impacting and dropping”.
8.3 Package
The product shall be packaged, the outer package shall have upward mark and a
fragile mark to prevent the product from being broken, bumped, scratched or stained.
8.4 Transportation
The product shall be protected during the transporting period; prevent the breakage,
bumping, deformation, stain or loss, sun and rain.
8.5 Storage
When storing the products, they shall be stacked according to the type and
specification; when stacking, they shall be placed vertically and the inclination angle
shall be ≥75°. Prevent the products from breakage, bumping, deformation, stain or loss,
insect damage, sun and rain, mildew.
