Hot Rolled Round Steel Bar and Wire Rod 1 Application Scope This Part specifies the ordering content, dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certification of round steel bars and wire rod for spiral spring, torsion bar and stabilizer bar in automotive suspension system. Steels of other grades or tolerances may also be delivered as agreed on by the supplier and the purchaser; the specific grades and tolerances shall be stated in the contract. 4.2.2 The normal length of bright steels is 3 000 mm ~ 12 000 mm; steels shall be delivered in fixed length or double length. The tolerance for length is 0 mm ~ + 40 mm. 4.2.3 The out-of-roundness of bright steels shall be as specified in GB/T 3207-2008. 4.2.4 The bending of bright steels per meter shall not be greater than 2 mm; the total bending shall not be greater than 0.20% of the length of steels. 4.2.5 The ends of bright steels shall be cut by sawing or shearing neatly, without defects that are adverse to use, including burrs; the tolerance for perpendicularity of the end faces of bright steels shall not be greater than 2 mm. 4.3 Wire rods The dimensions, shape and tolerances of wire rods shall meet the accuracy ......
