Foreword
This Standard references to foreign advanced standards such as International
Standard ISO 9445.2002 "Continuously Cold-rolled Stainless Steel Narrow
Strip, Wide Strip, Plate/sheet and Cut Lengths - Tolerances on Dimensions and
form" and ASTM A240/A240M-05a "Standard Specification for Chromium and
Chromium-Nickel Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet, and Strip for Pressure Vessels
and for General Applications". It revises and integrates the two standards -
GB/T 3280-1992 "Cold-rolled Stainless Steel Plate" and GB/T 4239-1991 "Cold
Rolled Stainless Steel and Heat Resisting Steel Strips".
This Standard replaces GB/T 3280-1992 "Cold-rolled Stainless Steel Plate",
and partially replaces GB/T 4239-1991 "Cold Rolled Stainless Steel and Heat
Resisting Steel Strips".
Compared with previous standards, the main contents revised are as follows.
- The content about wide strip rolling fixing cutting steel plate, longitudinal
shearing wide strip and rolled custom cut steel strip Ⅰ are added.
- Normative references are modified.
- 2 chapters "Terms and symbols " and "Order content" are added.
- The dimensional accuracy, shape and measuring method of steel plate and
steel strip are adjusted; specific specification about steel strip edge-wave
is added. The dimensional accuracy, shape and measuring method of steel
plate and steel strip are adjusted; specific specification about steel strip
edge-wave is added.
- Designation method and serial number are modified; the comparison of
new and old designations is added.
- 29 designations are introduced; the chemical composition, mechanical
property and heat treating regime specified in corresponding standards are
adopted for the designations introduced.
- Chemical compositions of 19 designations are adjusted.
- 14 designations are deleted.
- Transverse acid etching macroscopic examination for steel plates, of which
the thickness is larger than 4 mm, is deleted.
- Redefinition of surfacing style is specified.
Cold Rolled Stainless Steel Plate,
Sheet and Strip
1. Scope
This Standard specifies the designation, size, permissible deviation, shape,
technical requirement, testing method, inspection rules, package, mark and
quality certificate of cold rolled stainless steel plate, sheet and strip.
This Standard is applicable to corrosion prevention stainless cold-rolled wide
steel strip (hereinafter referred to as wide steel strip) and rolled custom cut
steel plate (hereinafter referred to as rolling cutting steel plate), longitudinal
shearing cold-rolled wide steel strip (hereinafter referred to as longitudinal
shearing wide steel strip) and rolled custom cut narrow steel strip (hereinafter
referred to as rolling cutting steel strip Ⅰ), cold-rolled narrow steel strip
(hereinafter referred to as narrow steel strip) and rolled custom cut steel strip
(hereinafter referred to as rolling steel strip Ⅱ), as well as single-sheet reduced
steel plate.
