1 Scope
This standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions of cold chain logistics,
the classification of cold chain logistics, the basic requirements of cold chain
logistics.
This standard applies to the management of cold chain logistics.

The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) is applicable to this standard.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions, which are defined in GB/T 18354-2006, as well as
the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
3.1
Cold chain
is 10 °C ~ 25 °C.
4.2 Classification by the objects served
4.2.1 Cold chain logistics for meat: The form of providing cold chain logistics
services mainly for primary products, such as livestock and poultry, as well as
their processed products.
4.2.2 Cold chain logistics for aquatic products: The form of providing cold chain
logistics services mainly for fresh products, such as fish, crustaceans, shellfish,
seaweeds, as well as their processed products.
4.2.3 Cold chain logistics for frozen beverages: The form of providing cold chain
logistics services mainly for ice cream, edible ice cubes and other items.
4.2.4 Cold chain logistics for dairy products: The form of providing cold chain
logistics services mainly for liquid milk and its dairy products.
4.2.5 Cold-chain logistics for fruits, vegetables, flowers: The form of providing
cold chain logistics services mainly for fresh products, such as fruits, vegetables,
flowers, as well as their processed products.
4.2.6 Cold chain logistics for grain: The form of providing cold chain logistics
services mainly for grains, crop seeds, feed, etc.
4.2.7 Cold-chain logistics for quick-frozen food: The form of providing cold chain
logistics services mainly for rice, noodles, other foods.
4.2.8 Cold chain logistics for drugs: The form of providing cold chain logistics
services mainly for the articles, such as Chinese medicinal materials, Chinese
herbal decoction pieces, Chinese patent medicines, chemical raw materials and
their preparations, antibiotics, biochemical drugs, radioactive drugs, serum,
vaccines, blood products, diagnostic drugs.
4.2.9 Cold-chain logistics for other special articles: The form of providing cold
chain logistics services mainly for film, fixer, cosmetics, hazardous chemicals,
biochemical reagents, medical equipment, etc.
5 Basic requirements
5.1 General
5.1.1 It shall meet the needs of social development, reduce logistics costs, meet
the requirements of energy conservation and environmental protection.
5.1.2 It shall establish a scientific and reasonable management system; take
necessary facilities, equipment and technologies, to ensure the quality and
consumption safety of cold chain articles.
5.2 Facilities and equipment
5.2.1 When storing cold chain articles, it shall use the facilities and equipment,
such as cold storage, refrigerators, incubators, low-temperature freezers or
other low-temperature storage boxes. The design of the cold storage shall
comply with the provisions of GB 50072.
5.2.2 During cold chain transportation operations, it shall adopt the refrigerated
trucks, insulated vehicles, refrigerated containers, refrigerated ships,
refrigerated trains (special trains), transportation equipment equipped with
refrigerated boxes and incubators. The performance of refrigerated trucks and
insulated trucks shall meet the requirements of QC/T 449.
5.2.3 All links of cold chain logistics operations shall be equipped with special
facilities and equipment.
5.3 Temperature control
5.3.1 It shall establish a temperature measurement and monitoring system, for
cold chain logistics.
5.3.2 In cold chain logistics operations, it shall clarify the specified temperature
requirements, allowable temperature deviation range, temperature
measurement method, recording requirements and storage method
requirements of temperature measurement results, for the articles in different
logistics links.
5.3.3 The facilities and equipment, which are used in cold chain logistics, shall
be equipped with continuous temperature recorders AND shall be regularly
checked and calibrated; it shall be equipped with an alarm system for abnormal
temperature; it shall be equipped with an uninterruptible power supply or
emergency power supply system.
5.4 Article protection
5.4.1 It shall establish a cold chain article protection system; propose specific
operational requirements for article protection, including temperature control,
cleanliness, limited shelf life, for each operation link.
5.4.2 A strict management system shall be established, for cold storage
operations. The cold storage shall be cleaned and disinfected regularly; records
shall be kept. Cold storage articles shall be classified, according to the nature
of the articles AND stacked in different areas, to prevent cross-contamination.
