The drafting organizations of this document: NOBLELIFT Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd.; Beijing Materials Handling Research Institute Co., Ltd.; China Hoisting & Conveying Equipment Quality Detection and Inspection Center (CHCIC); Hangcha Forklift Co., Ltd.; Anhui Heli Co., Ltd.; Lonking (Shanghai) Forklift Co., Ltd.; Zhejiang Zhongli Machinery Co., Introduction Stability is one of the important indicators for assessing the safety of industrial trucks. High- lift order-picking trucks whose operator position can be elevated are mainly used in high-rise rack warehouses. In recent years, due to the increase in the demand for order-picking from high- rise racks, the domestic sales of this type of industrial trucks has also been increasing. It is of great significance to standardize the stability verification requirements, achieve integration with international standards, improve product’s technical level and quality, and ensure operation safety. GB/T 26949 Industrial Trucks - Verification of Stability aims to establish the stability of industrial trucks defined in ISO 5053-1 and its verification method. GB/T 26949 is proposed to consist of the following parts: ---Part 1: General; ---Part 2: Counterbalanced Trucks with Mast; ---Part 3: Reach and Straddle Trucks; ---Part 4: Pallet Stackers, Double Stackers and Order-picking Trucks with Operator Position Elevating up to and Including 1,200 mm Lift Height; ---Part 5: Single-side-loading Trucks; ---Part 7: Bidirectional and Multidirectional Trucks; ---Part 8: Additional Stability Test for Trucks Operating in the Special Condition of Stacking with Mast Tilted Forward and Load Elevated; ---Part 9: Counterbalanced Trucks with Mast Handling Freight Containers of 6 m Length and Longer; ---Part 10: Additional Stability Tests for Trucks Operating in the Special Conditions of Stacking with Load Laterally Displaced by Power; ---Part 11: Industrial Variable-reach Trucks; ---Part 12: Industrial Variable-reach Trucks Handling Freight Containers of 6 m Length and Longer; ---Part 13: Rough-terrain Trucks with Mast; ---Part 14: Rough-terrain Variable-reach Trucks; ---Part 15: Counterbalanced Trucks with Articulated Steering; ---Part 16: Pedestrian-propelled Trucks; Industrial Trucks - Verification of Stability - Part 21: Order- picking Trucks with Operator Position Elevating above 1,200 mm 1 Scope This document specifies the test method for verifying the stability of order-picking trucks with operator position elevating above 1,200 mm (as defined in ISO 5053-1). This document is applicable to the same type of trucks equipped with forks, platforms and / or integral attachments under normal operating conditions. This document does not apply to trucks equipped with load handling devices capable of moving sideways or rotating away from the longitudinal center plane of the trucks. 2 Normative References The contents of the following documents constitute indispensable clauses of this document through the normative references in the text. ISO 5053-1 Industrial Trucks - Vocabulary - Part 1: Types of Industrial Trucks NOTE: GB/T 6104.1-2018 Industrial Trucks - Terminology and Classification - Part 1: Types of Industrial Trucks (ISO 5053-1:2015, IDT) ISO 22915-1 Industrial Trucks - Verification of Stability - Part 1: General NOTE: GB/T 26949.1-2020 Industrial Trucks - Verification of Stability - Part 1: General (ISO 22915-1:2016, IDT) 3 Terms and Definitions What is defined in ISO 5053-1 and ISO 22915-1, and the following terms and definitions are applicable to this document. 3.1 normal operating conditions Normal operating conditions refer to the operating conditions of the trucks running indoors on a flat, level and sufficiently hard (for example, concrete) ground. 4.2.2 Test 1 The truck shall be placed on a tilted platform, with its drive / steering axle BB and load-bearing axle CC parallel to the tilt axis XY of the tilted platform, see Table 1. 4.2.3 Test 2, Test 3, Test 4 and Test 5 The truck shall be placed on a tilted platform, with the MN line parallel to the tilt axis XY of the tilted platform, see Table 1. In all positions, the casters shall be turned from the XY direction to the direction of minimum stability. Point M is defined as follows. a) For trucks with a single drive / steering wheel: Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the drive / steering wheel axle centerline and the drive wheel width center plane. b) For trucks where the drive / steering axle is mounted on an articulated frame and the hinge point is located in the longitudinal center plane of the trucks: Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the lateral axis of the articulated frame and the longitudinal center plane AA of the trucks. c) For trucks with tandem drive / steering wheels: Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the drive / steering wheel axle centerline and the center plane AA of the trucks. d) For trucks with rigidly supported single or tandem casters: Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the caster wheel axis centerline and the caster wheel width center plane. e) For trucks with non-articulated, rigidly supported casters or wheels and non- articulated drive wheels: 1) For rigidly supported casters or wheels, Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the caster or wheel axle centerline and the caster or wheel width center plane, and the centerline of the rigidly supported casters or wheel axle shall be close to the longitudinal center plane of the trucks; 2) For non-articulated drive wheels, Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the drive wheel axle center line and the drive wheel width center plane. f) For trucks with non-rigidly supported casters or wheels: Point M is the vertical projection on a tilted platform of the intersection point of the drive wheel axle centerline and the drive wheel width center plane. ......
