The contract or order for the steel tubes ordered according to this Standard shall
include the following content.
a) reference to this Standard;
b) product name;
c) designations of steel;
5.2.1 Smelting methods for steel
Priority is given to primarily-smelted molten steel plus refining outside the furnace.
5.2.2 Manufacturing method for steel tubes
5.2.2.1 The steel tubes shall be manufactured by automatic welding without the
addition of filler metal. The welding seam or the whole steel tube shall be conducted
with cold deformation process after the welding and before the final heat treatment of
the steel tubes.

contract, the method of cold deformation process and the minimum deformation may
be specified.
5.3 Delivery status
The steel tubes shall be delivered after heat treatment and acid pickling; but the steel
tubes being heat treated by the protective atmosphere can be delivered without acid
pickling. Recommended heat treatment specifications of steel tubes refer to Table 4.
Negotiated by the supply and demand parties, and specified in the contract, the steel
tubes can use other heat treatment specifications beyond Table 4. The actual heat
treatment specification shall be indicated in the quality certificate.
