3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 20861 and the following terms
and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Hazardous substance
Substances contained in the product that are harmful to humans, animals,
plants and the environment, including lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium
(Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB),
polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) and so on.
3.2
Producer
A natural or legal person engaged in the production of products within the
territory of the People's Republic of China.
3.3
Importer
A natural or legal person engaged in the import of products within the territory
of the People's Republic of China.
3.4
Material
A substance or a mixture of substances, such as metals and alloys, plastics,
ceramics, rubber, and the like.
3.5
Homogeneous material
Materials with the same composition and which cannot be further separated
by mechanical means.
3.6
Component
A structural unit with a certain function or purpose in the product.
3.7
Environment-friendly use period
The period in which the use of the product, by the product user, which
contains hazardous substance that will not leak or be abrupt under the
of plastic compositions
5.1 Composition and recovery marking of plastic components
Identify the plastic composition used in the product and component for
reference by producers, consumers, recyclers, and processors.
5.2 Object of marking
Plastic parts which have a mass of not less than 25 g or a maximum surface
area of not less than (5 x 10) mm2 should all be marked.
5.3 Requirements of marking
The abbreviation code of plastic composition is executed in accordance with
GB/T 1844.1, GB/T 1844.2, GB/T 1844.3, GB/T 1844.4. The marking
requirements of plastic components are in accordance with GB/T 16288.
The recovery plastic components may use the marking pattern which combines
the graphics and the plastic composition codes, the example is as shown in
Figure 3.
Note. > PP + PET < indicates the composition of plastics
Figure 3 -- Identification of composition and recovery marking of plastic
compositions
5.4 Location of marking
5.4.1 Provide marking at the location of the component which is easy to view
after separated and disassembled, for example, the surface of the component,
the convex part where the unevenness changes greatly, try to avoid marking in
the concave part that is difficult to view.
5.4.2 Provide marking at the visible part which is not covered.
5.5 Special circumstances
