Method for combination tests 1 Scope This Part of GB/T 21655 specifies the test methods and evaluation indicators for combination of single test indicator of absorption and quick-drying of textiles. This Part is applicable to all kinds of textiles and their products. 2 Normative references The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this Part, constitute the provisions of this Part. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Part. For undated reference documents, the latest versions apply to this Part. GB 6529, STANDARD atmospheres for textiles conditioning and testing (neq GB 6529-1986, ISO 139.1973) GB/T 6682, Water for analytical laboratory use - Specification and test methods (neq GB/T 6682-1992, ISO 3696.1987) GB/T 8629, Textiles - Domestic washing and drying procedures for textile testing (eqv GB/T 8629-2001, ISO 6330.2000) GB/T 12740, Types and basic parameters of cars for monocable circulating aerial ropeway FZ/T 01071, Textiles - Test method for capillary effect 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply to this Part of GB/T 21655. 3.1 water absorption rate the percentage of water absorbed by the sample to the original mass of the sample when the sample is completely immersed in water and then is taken out 5.7 Timer. division of 0.1 s. 6 Standard atmosphere for moisture control and testing 6.1 The atmosphere for moisture control and testing uses the standard atmosphere specified in GB 6529. 6.2 Samples shall be in a state of moisture balance in the relaxed state before the test. Moisturizing method and requirements are according to GB 6529. General moisture control needs more than 16h, synthetic fiber samples ask for at least 2h. Samples with a nominal moisture regain rate of 0 do not require moisture control. 7 Sampling and sample preparation 7.1 The method and quantity of sample collection are based on product standards or agreed by all parties involved. Cut a full fabric of 0.5 m or more into each sample. Avoid more than 2m from the ends when sampling. Textile products require at least 1 unit. 7.2 Cut each sample into two pieces (one for pre-wash test and one for post- wash test). One of them is washed 5 times according to the 5A procedure of GB/T 8629, or washed according to the methods and times agreed by all parties concerned. Drying process is according to oven drying method. 7.3 Cut sample. The number and size of samples shall meet the requirements of Clause 8. When sample is cut, it shall be evenly arranged in the area more than 150 mm away from the cloth edge. Each sample is not in the same longitudinal and lateral position. If the product consists of different fabrics, the sample shall be selected from the main fabric and avoid defects and wrinkles that affect the test results. 8 Test procedures 8.1 Water absorption rate 8.1.1 Cut 5 specimens for each sample. The size of each specimen is at least 10cm x 10cm. The specimen shall be flat without wrinkles. 8.1.2 Place the specimen under standard atmospheric conditions to adjust the humidity and balance. 8.1.3 Weigh the original mass of the specimen, to the nearest of 0.001g. ......
