Scraps of cemented carbide 1 Scope This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, accompanying documents and order form for scraps of cemented carbide. This document applies to the recyclable residues and wastes containing tungsten and cobalt generated during the production and use of cemented carbide products (hereinafter referred to as scraps of cemented carbide). 2 Normative references The following documents are normatively referenced in this document and are indispensable for its application. For dated references, only the version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document. GB/T 4324.11, Methods for chemical analysis of tungsten - Part 11: Determination of aluminum content - Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry GB/T 4324.12, Methods for chemical analysis of tungsten - Part 12: Determination of silicon content - Chlorination-molybdenum blue spectrophotometry GB/T 5124.1, Methods for chemical analysis of hardmetals - Determination of total carbon content - Gravimetric method GB/T 5124.2, Methods for chemical analysis of hardmetals - Determination of insoluble (free) carbon content - Gravimetric method GB/T 5158 (all parts), Metallic powders - Determination of oxygen content by reduction methods GB/T 5314, Powders for powder metallurgical purposes - Sampling GB/T 20255.1, Methods for chemical analysis of hardmetals - Determination of calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium contents - Flame atomic absorption spectrometric method GB/T 26050, Hardmetals - Determination of contents of metallic elements by X-ray fluorescence - Fusion method 6 Test methods 6.1 General requirements The general requirements for scraps of cemented carbide are visually inspected or measured with a measuring tool of corresponding precision. 6.2 Appearance quality The appearance quality of scraps of cemented carbide is visually inspected. 6.3 Chemical composition 6.3.1 The detection of W, Co, Fe, Ni, Ti, Ta, Nb, V, Cr, Mn, Mo element content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 26050. 6.3.2 The detection of the total carbon content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 5124.1. 6.3.3 The detection of free carbon content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 5124.2. 6.3.4 The detection of Al element content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 4324.11. 6.3.5 The detection of Si element content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 4324.12. 6.3.6 The detection of Ca and Mg element content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 20255.1. 6.3.7 The detection of oxygen content in the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB/T 5158 (all parts). 7 Inspection rules 7.1 Inspection and acceptance 7.1.1 Scraps of cemented carbide shall be inspected by the supplier or a third party, to ensure that the quality complies with the provisions of this document and the order form. 7.1.2 The buyer can inspect the received scraps of cemented carbide in accordance with the provisions of this document and the order form. If the inspection results are inconsistent with the provisions of this document and the order form, they shall be sealed separately, and submitted to the supplier within one month from the date of receipt, and negotiated by both parties. 7.2 Batch Scraps of cemented carbide shall be submitted for acceptance in batches, and each batch shall consist of scraps of the same type and composition. 7.3 Inspection items Each batch of scraps of cemented carbide shall be inspected for general requirements and appearance quality, as well as chemical composition when it is specified in the order form. 7.4 Sampling The sampling for testing the chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide shall be representative. Each batch of bulk scraps can be divided into 2 ~ 3 types according to the principle of similar appearance, shape and size. For each type, take one sample, which is about 100 g. For powder scraps, after mixing evenly, take 2 ~ 3 parts according to the provisions of GB/T 5314. If there are special requirements, it shall be determined by the supplier and the buyer through negotiation. 7.5 Determination of the test result 7.5.1 When the inspection result of the general requirements or the appearance quality of scraps of cemented carbide is unqualified, judge the batch of scraps as unqualified. 7.5.2 When the inspection result of chemical composition of scraps of cemented carbide is unqualified, double sampling is allowed for repeated inspection. If any result of the repeated inspection is unqualified, judge the batch of scraps as unqualified. 8 Marking, packaging, transportation, storage and accompanying documents 8.1 Marking Each batch of scraps of cemented carbide shall be labeled and indicated with: a) name of the supplier; b) category, variety; c) batch number; d) weight. ......
