Foreword
This Standard identically adopts ISO 15607.2003 "Specification and
qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials - General rules"
(English version).
In order to ensure the standard coordination and operability, this Standard
makes the necessary editorial changes in the equivalent of the translation of
the international standard.
Compared with ISO 15607, this Standard made the following changes in the

- deleted the clause of "Abbreviations" in ISO 15607, added the
abbreviations in relevant terms;
- the process specifications for different welding methods shall be specified
by the ISO 15609 series of standards; this series of standards is being
drafted. In order to ensure the operability of the standard, this Standard
does not specify the format requirements for the welding procedure.
This Standard shall be issued for the first time.
Annex A, Annex B, Annex C of this Standard are informative.
This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
