This Part is Part 1 of GB/T 19345.
This Part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part replaces the part of Fe-based amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips in
GB/T 19345-2003.
Compared with GB/T 19345-2003, the main changes in this Part are as follows.
- modified the name to “Amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys - Part 1. Fe-
based amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips”;
- adjusted the text structure of the standard;
- added terms and definitions;
- added the classification, product designation naming rules;
- modified the magnetic performance indicators of strips;
- modified the size deviation scope of strips;
- modified the relevant provisions on sampling, sample preparation and
measurement;
- modified the inspection method and requirements for toughness of strips;
- added the strip laminate factor and measurement method for the
exchange magnetic properties of monolithic sample;
- refined the requirements for packaging, storage, marks and quality
certificate.
This Part was proposed by China Iron and Steel Association.

Amorphous and nanocrystalline alloys -
Part 1. Fe-based amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips
1 Scope
This Part specifies the terms and definitions, classification and display method
of designation, general requirements, technical requirements, inspection and
measurement, packaging, storage, marks and quality certificate of Fe-based
amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips manufactured with fast quenching process.
This Part is applicable to Fe-based amorphous soft magnetic alloy strips used
for iron core of distribution transformer, medium frequency transformer, reactor,
filter inductor (hereinafter referred to as the strips).

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T
2900.1, GB/T 9637 and GB/T 15019 as well as the followings apply.
3.1 specific total loss
0.12 W/kg, lamination factor is not less than 0.84.
5 General requirements
5.1 Production process
The production process and chemical composition of the strips are decided by
the supplier.
5.2 Delivery form
5.2.1 The strips are usually delivered in coils. The coil is divided into two types.
a) a single coil wound from a single layer of strips;
b) a composite coil wound from multi-layers of strips simultaneously.
5.2.2 The coil shall be rolled up from the strips of same width, center lining
with a hard paper, plastic or metal reel.
5.2.3 The end of the coil shall be as flat as possible. The maximum axial
height shall not be greater than 1.05 times the nominal width of the strips.
5.2.4 The ends of the strips shall be free of rusts, fingerprints, foreign material,
damage.
5.2.5 The strips shall be wound tightly, no local relaxation, no wrinkles, no
collapse, no falling off during handling due to self-weight, no lateral offset during
unwinding.
5.2.6 The strips may be spliced by removing defects. The front and back parts
of splicing shall be of same designation, same nominal width. The part of
splicing shall be marked. The connection shall be neat and not affect the normal
operation of subsequent processing. If the part of splicing uses other materials
to connect, the material quality of the connecting material shall not damage the
properties of the strips before and after heat treatment. If the strips are in
contact with the liquid during the final use, the connecting material shall not
chemically react with the liquid in contact.
5.2.7 The particular requirements for strip delivery form shall be determined
by the supplier and the purchaser.
5.3 Delivery conditions
The strips are normally delivered in non-sheared semi-processed state
(prepared state) with the absence of a top coat. The particular requirements for
strip delivery form shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser.
5.4 Surface quality
5.4.1 The surface of the strips shall not have rusts, greases, fingerprints,
foreign materials or the continuous visible oxidation.
5.4.2 The surface of the strips is allowed to have pinholes not larger than 1.0
mm in diameter but not more than 1 per square centimeter.
5.4.3 The strips shall be smooth; there shall be no slivers, burrs, potholes,
wrinkles, folds or other defects affect the use. The edge of the strips shall have
no visible cracks and burrs.
5.5 Shear adaptability
When using suitable equipment for cutting, any part of the strips shall be able
to be cut into the usual shape.
6 Technical requirements
6.1 Physical properties
6.1.1 The strips delivered in the semi-processed state (prepared state) shall
be heat-treated properly to obtain the desired magnetic properties. But the
magnetic properties of the strips and related to the sampling and sample
preparation methods, sample shape and size, sample heat treatment system
and measurement methods and other factors. Therefore, when the supplier
supplies the data of magnetic properties of the strips, it shall indicate the sample
shape and size, sample heat treatment system, measurement method,
measurement equipment and measurement conditions.
NOTE. The final heat treatment of the strips is usually performed by the purchaser after the strip is
processed into the iron core. Therefore, the purchaser shall determine the best heat treatment syst...
