Laminated bags for aseptic packaging of liquid food
1 Scope
This standard specifies the structure and classification, technical requirements,
test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage
of laminated bags for aseptic packaging of liquid food.
This standard is applicable to the laminated bags made of plastic and plastic or
plastic and aluminum foil, metal vapor-deposited film, etc., equipped with
sealing parts such as filling ports, sterilized for aseptic packaging of liquid foods
(hereinafter referred to as laminated bags).
This standard does not apply to paper-based laminated bags.

GB 18280.1 Sterilization of health care products - Radiation - Part 1:
Requirements for development, validation and routine control of a
sterilization process for medical devices
The package which packs the sterilized food in a sterile environment or seals
it in a sterilized container to maintain a long shelf life at room temperature
without preservatives, meanwhile maximizes the original nutrients and
flavors in food.
3.3
Laminated bags for aseptic packaging of liquid food
A laminated bag which is made of a multi-layer film structure and is equipped
with a sealing member such as a filling port, for filling the sterilized liquid
food.
Note: The laminated bag is for inner packaging and is used together with
containers such as paper box, cartons, drums or wooden boxes.
3.4
Sterilization
A confirmed process that leaves the product free of viable microorganisms.
Note 1: During the sterilization process, the nature of microbial inactivation
is exponential. The survival of microorganisms on a single product can be
expressed by probability. Although this probability can be reduced to very
low, it is impossible to fall to zero.
Note 2: Rewrite the definition 3.39 of GB 18280.1-2015.
3.5
Bioburden
The total number of viable microorganisms on a product and/or sterile barrier
system and/or therein.
[GB 18280.2-2015, definition 3.2.2]
3.6
Sterility assurance level; SAL
The probability of a single living microorganism present on the product unit
after sterilization.
Note: SAL represents a magnitude, typically 10-6 or 10-3. Although 10-6 is
smaller than 10-3, it provides a margin greater than 10-3.
[GB 18280.2-2015, definition 3.2.11]
Where:
T - Thickness deviation, %;
HM - Measured value of thickness, in micrometers (μm);
HS - Standard value of thickness, in microns (μm);
S - Standard thickness in Specification, in microns (μm).
6.4 Physical and mechanical performance
6.4.1 Oxygen permeability
The outer film of aluminum foil bag is tested from the outside to the inside
according to the provisions of GB/T 19789. The polyamide bag and
polyethylene outer film are tested from the outside to the inside according to
the provisions of GB/T 1038. The outer film of the aluminum-plated polyester
bag is tested according to GB/T 19789 or GB/T 1038. During arbitration, it shall
be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 19789.
6.4.2 Water vapor permeability
It is tested from the outside to the inside according to GB/T 26253 or GB/T 1037.
The testing temperature is (38 ± 0.5) °C, the relative humidity is (90 ± 2)%.
During arbitration, it shall be tested according to GB/T 26253.
6.4.3 Light transmittance
It is tested in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2410.
6.4.4 Tensile strength and nominal strain of fracture
It is tested according to the provisions of GB/T 1040.1 and GB/T 1040.3. It uses
the stripe specimen which has a length of 150 mm, a width of 15 mm, a gauge
of (100 ± 1) mm. The tensile speed (no load) of the specimen is (200 ± 20)
mm/min.
6.4.5 Peel force
It is tested according to the provisions of the A method of GB/T 8808-1988. The
specimen is considered to be qualified when it cannot be peeled off.
6.4.6 Hot seal strength of bag body
It is tested in accordance with QB/T 2358.
considered unqualified.
6.7 Food safety performance
The food safety performance of the outer film, inner lining, filling mouth and
seals shall be inspected according to the methods specified in GB 4806.6, GB
4806.7, GB 4806.11, GB 9683, GB 9685 and related standards.
6.8 Sterilization requirements
6.8.1 Radiation sterilization dose
Check the irradiation certificate provided by the irradiation sterilization
manufacturer, to determine that the absorbed dose of the product meets the
required dosage range. The contents of the irradiation certificate include at least
the irradiation sterilization batch number, product name, product batch number,
product quantity, required dose range, product’s absorbed dose.
6.8.2 Marking of irradiation sterilization state
Visually check the marking of irradiation state.
6.8.3 Microbiological test methods
The sampling method is carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T
18706. The inspection shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of
GB 4789.2, GB 4789.3, GB 4789.4, GB 4789.5, GB 4789.10, GB 4789.11, GB
4789.15.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Group-batch
The products of same variety, the same specification and the same delivery
form a batch. The quantity of each batch of products shall not exceed 100000.
7.2 Type of inspection
7.2.1 Exit-factory inspection
7.2.1.1 The items and quantity of samples of the exit-factory inspection are as
shown in Table 7.
