It covers: -- manually operated transfer switching equipment (MTSE); -- remotely operated transfer switching equipment (RTSE); -- automatic transfer switching equipment (ATSE). It does not cover: a) TSE configurations that are either not manufacturer tested and/or not marked according to this document as a complete transfer switch; b) auxiliary contacts (for guidance, see GB/T 14048.5); c) transfer switches used in explosive atmospheres [for guidance, see IEC 60079 (all parts)]; d) embedded software design (for guidance, see IEC TR 63201); e) cybersecurity aspects (for guidance, see IEC TS 63208); f) TSE rated for direct-on-line starting asynchronous motor of design NE and HE, according to GB/T 21210-2016 (for guidance, see AC-3e utilisation category according GB/T 14048.4-2020); g) Other types of TSE, including closed-circuit transfer TSE, neutral overlapping transfer TSE, TSE with load shedding function, etc. The supplementary requirements for these types of TSE are under consideration.
