1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 13531 specifies the determination of particle size for cosmetics.
This Part is applicable to the determination of particle size for the powdery and granular
cosmetics.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1 Particle size
Use the standard sieve with prescribed pore size to screen the granular or powdery
sample; the percentage of the mass of sample passing through the standard sieve
accounting for the sample mass.
4 Apparatus
4.1 Standard sieve. it shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6003.1; the round sieve
with diameter of 60mm; select the pore size according to the requirements of product
standard.
4.2 Soft brush. the brush length is 50mm; while the brush width is 40mm.
