Compared with GB/T 13384-1992 and GB/T 15464-1995, the major changes are as follows. — MODIFY the “General” to “Basic requirements”; — INTEGRATE the relevant contents of the packing mode and protective packaging method in the two standards; — CLARIFY the reference standards for the selection of wood and the allowable defects of various parts of the wood; MODIFY the requirements for content of moisture in wood; SUPPLEMENT the requirements for wood fumigation; — SUPPLEMENT the requirements for the methods of reinforcement of the packaging containers made of other materials; — In the content of the protective packaging, CLARIFY the reference standards; SIMPLIFY the standard content; — CLARIFY the reference standards for test items; CANCEL the selected test items; SIMPLIFY the standards. General specifications for packing of mechanical and electrical product 1 Scope This Standard specifies the basic requirements for the packaging, packing modes and protective packaging methods, technical requirements, test methods, packaging marks and accompanying files of machinery, electrical appliances, instrumentation and other products. This Standard is applicable to the transport packages of machinery, electrical appliances, instrumentation and other products. 2 Normative references The provisions in the following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard. However, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest editions of these documents are applicable. In the circulation environment, it shall be ensured that the product does not cause rust, mildew, reduced accuracy, damage or loss due to improper packaging during the agreement period between the supply and demand sides. 3.2 Packaging design shall be based on product characteristics, circulation environment conditions, and customer requirements, so that the packaging is compact, safe and reliable, with reasonable protection. 3.3 The product must be qualified after inspection and well protected before exterior and interior packing. The accompanying files shall be complete. Generally, such parts shall be fixed in the same box. 5.2.2.3 Parts with special requirements on the product shall be removed as far as possible, marked, and packed according to special requirements. 5.2.2.4 The product (or inner packaging box) shall be securely fixed in the outer packaging box. The fixing modes may adopt cushioning material plugging, wooden block positioning fastening, bolt fastening, pressure rod fastening, etc. Under normal circumstances, the product (or inner packaging box) shall not be in direct contact with the outer packaging box board, and shall have a certain clearance with the inner side, inner end face, and top side of the outer packaging box. 5.2.2.5 The accessory boxes, spare parts boxes, etc. shall be fixed in place in the main boxes. The accessories and spare parts loaded in the boxes shall also take corresponding fixing measures. 5.2.2.6 The inside of the product packaging boxes shall be clean, dry, and free from foreign matters. 5.2.3 Reinforcement 5.2.3.1 After sealed, the wooden boxes shall be reinforced according to the provisions of the relevant wooden box standard. 5.2.3.2 After sealed, the cartons and the calcium-plastic boxes can be bundled using plastic strapping tapes or oxidizing steel strips if necessary. The plastic strapping tapes shall not be less than 14mm in width. When bundling, plastic tapes or steel strips shall be tightly tied to the cartons, while corresponding measures shall be taken to prevent them from cutting into the cardboards thus damaging the cartons. 5.2.3.3 After sealed, the packaging boxes made of other materials shall be reinforced based on their dimensions, in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 12464, GB/T 18925, and GB/T 7284. 5.2.4 Each packaging box shall have sufficient strength. According to the mass and characteristics of the package, the test items such as the test methods specified in Chapter 6 shall be selected as the relevant test items. After the test, there shall be no obvious displacement of the fixture inside the box; the appearance, performance, accuracy, and relevant technical parameters of the product shall be within the allowable tolerances; the packaging box shall be free from obvious damage and deformation, and shall comply with the provisions of relevant standards and the design requirements. 5.3 Open package ......
