This Part applies to rigid extruded polystyrene foam board for thermal insulation (XPS) with a service temperature not exceeding 75°C, including rigid extruded polystyrene foam board adding graphite and other infrared blocking agents (see Appendix A), and also including rigid extruded polystyrene foam board with/without skin, as well as rigid extruded polystyrene foam board with special edge structure and surface treatment. This Part also applies to rigid extruded polystyrene foam board for thermal insulation of prefabricated components and composite insulation systems. 2 Normative References The following documents are essential to the application of this Document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this Document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this Document. GB/T 2918-1998 Plastics - Standard atmospheres for conditioning and testing GB/T 6342-1996 Cellular plastics and rubbers - Determination of linear dimensions GB 8624 Classification for burning behavior of building materials and products GB/T 8810-2005 Determination of water absorption of rigid cellular plastics GB/T 8811-2008 Test method for dimensional stability of rigid cellular plastics GB/T 8813-2008 Rigid cellular plastics - Determination of compression properties GB/T 10294-2008 Thermal insulation - Determination of steady-state thermal resistance and related properties - Guarded hot plate apparatus GB/T 10295-2008 Thermal insulation - Determination of steady-state thermal resistance 5.4 Compressive strength or compressive stress at relative deformation of 10% According to GB/T 8813-2008, the sample dimension is (100±1)mm×(100±1)mm×original thickness. For products with a thickness greater than 100mm, the length and width of the specimen shall be no less than the thickness of the product. The loading speed is 1/10 (mm/min) of the thickness of the specimen. For example, for a product with a thickness of 50 mm, the loading speed is 5 mm/min. Take the average value of the test results of 5 specimens. Measure the maximum compressive stress of the specimen or the compressive stress when the relative deformation is 10%, which one occurs first, and the stress of which one is taken as the result. 5.5 Water absorbing capacity Water absorbing capacity is carried out according to GB/T 8810-2005. The water temperature is (23±2)°C, and the soaking time is 96h. The specimen dimension is (150±1)mm×(150±1)mm×original thickness. The water absorbing capacity is the average value of the test results of three specimens. 5.6 Dimensional stability The dimensional stability is carried out according to GB/T 8811-2008. The specimen dimension is (100±1)mm×(100±1)mm×original thickness. The test conditions are at temperature of (70±2)°C and time of 48h. The dimensional stability takes the average value of the absolute values of the test results of three specimens. 5.7 Water vapor transmission coefficient The water vapor transmission coefficient is carried out according to QB/T 2411-1998. The thickness of the specimen is 25mm. When the thickness is less than 25mm, the original thickness shall be used for the test. The test temperature shall be (23±1)℃, and the relative humidity gradient shall be 0~(50±2)%. The water vapor transmission coefficient is the average value of the test results of 5 specimens. 5.8 Thermal insulation The thermal conductivity is carried out according to GB/T 10294-2008 or GB/T 10295-2008. The average temperature is 10 ℃ and 25 ℃; and the test temperature difference is 15 ℃ ~ 25 ℃. Arbitration inspection shall be carried out according to GB/T 10294-2008. The thermal resistance value is calculated according to Formula (1): Where: R – thermal resistance, in [(m2•K)/W]; H – thickness, in m; λ – thermal conductivity, in [W/(m•K)]. 5.9 Combustion performance The combustion performance shall be carried out according to the provisions of GB 8624. 6 Inspection Rules 6.1 Exit-factory inspection 6.1.1 Exit-factory inspection shall be carried out when the product leaves the factory. 6.1.2 The items of exit-factory inspection are: dimension, appearance, compressive strength, and thermal conductivity. 6.1.3 Batching: 600m3 of products of the same category and the same specification that leave the factory shall be counted as a batch; and those less than 600m3 shall be counted as a batch. 6.1.4 Sampling: randomly select 12 samples for dimension and appearance inspection; 6 samples for compressive strength, and 2 samples for thermal insulation performance. 6.1.5 Dimensions, appearance, compressive strength, and thermal conductivity shall be inspected according to the test methods specified in Clause 5; and the inspection results shall comply with the provisions in Clause 4. If one of the indicators is unqualified, the sampling shall be doubled for re-inspection. If there is still one unqualified item in the re-inspection results, the batch of products shall be judged as unqualified. 6.2 Type inspection 6.2.1 In one of the following situations, type inspection shall be carried out: a) Finalization identification of the new product; b) After formal production, the raw materials and processes have undergone major changes, which may affect product performance; c) During normal production, at least once a year; d) When there is a large difference between the exit-factory inspection result and the previous type inspection; e) When the product has been discontinued for more than 6 months and then the production is resumed. 6.2.2 The inspection items for type inspection are the requirements specified in Clause 4. 6.2.3 For type inspection, samples shall be randomly selected from qualified products in the factory warehouse; and specimens shall be cut and inspected according to the test method specified in Clause 5. The inspection results shall comply with the provisions in Clause 4. 7 Marking, Labeling and Instructions for Use 7.1 Marking The surface of each product shall be printed with a non-transferable product marking. The product marking shall have a certain degree of durability and shall be clearly visible during use. See 3.2 for the format and content of the marking. 7.2 Labeling and instructions for use It shall be stated on the label or in the instructions for use as follows: a) The name of this Part; b) Product name, product marking, trademark; c) The name and detailed address of the manufacturer; d) Specifications and main performance indicators of the product; e) Date of manufacture; f) Indicate warnings or icons to guide safe use, for example: the combustion performance grade of this product is Grade-B2, and it shall be kept away from fire sources during use; g) Quantity of product in the packaging unit. The label text and pattern shall be eye-catching and clear, easy to identify, and have a certain degree of durability. 8 Packaging, Transportation and Storage 8.1 The product needs to be packaged with shrink film or plastic strapping, or negotiated between the supplier and the purchaser. When transporting to other cities, the packaging needs to be adapted to the transport requirements. 8.2 Products should be stacked separately according to categories and specifications to avoid ......
