Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency
and Energy Efficiency Grades for Submersible
Pumps for Deep Well
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the energy efficiency grades, minimum allowable values of
energy efficiency, evaluating values of energy conservation, test methods, inspection
rules, and labels of energy efficiency grades for submersible pumps for deep well.
This Standard is applicable to the submersible pumps for deep well (hereinafter
referred to as “pump”), which integrates pumps with the submersible motor for deep
well to submerge into water and extract clear water.
2 Normative References
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the
dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this
document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the
amendments) are applicable to this standard.
GB/T 2816 Submersible Pumps for Deep Well
GB/T 2818 Submersible Motor for Deep Well
GB/T 2828.1 Sampling Procedures for Inspection by Attributes - Part 1. Sampling
Schemes Indexed by Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) for Lot-by-Lot Inspection
GB/T 2829 Sampling Procedures and Tables for Periodic Inspection by Attributes

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions and those defined in GB/T 2816, GB/T 2818 are
applicable to this document.
3.1 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for submersible
disqualified.
If one of the test results of both specimen pumps does not conform to the
requirements of Energy Efficiency Grade 3, then the standby specimen pump needs
to be tested; if the test result of the standby specimen pump conforms to the
requirements of corresponding energy efficiency grade specified in this Standard,
then the energy efficiency grade of such batch pumps shall be determined by the
energy efficiency grade to that the two specimen pumps can reach, or the lower
energy efficiency grade to that one of the two specimen can reach; if the test result of
the standby specimen pump does not conform to the requirements of Energy
Efficiency Grade 3, then the minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for such
batch pumps are determined as disqualified.
10 Labels of Energy Efficiency Grades
10.1 The manufacturer shall determine the rated energy efficiency grades for the
pump according to the provisions of this Standard and the inspection results; the label
shall be marked as per the requirements of labels of energy efficiency.
10.2 The manufacturer shall at least indicate the rated energy efficiency grade and
executive standard number of the pump in the product instructions; meanwhile, in
accordance with the relevant provisions of labels of energy efficiency, the label of
energy efficiency shall be pasted at an obvious position of the product.
