Part 1. For gasoline and diesel vehicles
1 Scope
This Part of GB 22757 specifies the content, the format, the material and the
paste requirements for energy consumption label for light-duty vehicles.
This Part is applicable to M1, M2 and N1 vehicles that can use gasoline or
diesel as fuels and of which the maximum design total mass does not exceed
3500 kg. It is not applicable to external rechargeable hybrid electric vehicles,
pure electric vehicles and other vehicles that can only use other single fuel.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
specified by the government authorities.
5 Energy consumption data
For gasoline, diesel, bi-fuel and dual fuel vehicles, the fuel consumption data
refer to the urban, suburban and integrated condition fuel consumption
measured in accordance with GB/T 19233. For non-external rechargeable
vehicles, the fuel consumption data refer to the urban, suburban and
integrated condition fuel consumption measured in accordance with GB/T
19753.
Fuel consumption data shall be rounded to one after the decimal point.
6 Label requirements
6.1 Functional area division
6.1.1 The label consists of four functional areas. “title area”, “information
area”, “statement area” and “additional information area”. See Figure A.1.
6.1.1.1 The “tile area” is at the top of the label. The “enterprise logo” is on
which the English name in capital is “AUTOMOBILE ENERGY
CONSUMPTION LABEL”. It is arranged in a way of Chinese-above and
English-below.
6.1.1.2 The “information area” is divided into “vehicle basic information area”
and “energy consumption information area”. The “vehicle basic information
area” is at the top of the information area while the “energy consumption
information area” is at the bottom of the information area that is the core part
of the label. The fuel consumption information is at the top of “energy
consumption information area”. The “comparison information with limit” is in
the middle of “energy consumption information area”. The continuous
comparison information is at the bottom of “energy consumption information
area”.
6.1.1.2.1 The “vehicle basic information” contains. manufacturer, vehicle
model, engine model, energy type, displacement, maximum net power, speed
transmission type, drive type, overall vehicle mass, maximum design total
mass, and other information about the fuel consumption that the business
needs to specify. If there is no other information provided, the words of “other
information” can be deleted.
6.1.1.2.2 The “energy consumption information” contains.
integrated conditions is less than the top runner fuel consumption, the
inverted triangular pattern of position C shall point to position A in the
Figure. If the fuel consumption value in integrated conditions is higher than
the limit, the inverted triangular pattern of position C shall point to position
E in the Figure.
6.1.1.3 The “statement area” is located at the lower part of the label. The left
side of the “statement area” is QR code. The middle is the national standard
(including the chronology and name) used in the fuel consumption test and
the factors that affect the fuel consumption. The right side is the “label
category pattern” indicated in Figure A.3.
6.1.1.3.1 For gasoline, diesel, bi- fuel and dual fuel vehicles, the contents
are as follows.
The fuel consumption data used in this label are measured according to GB/T
19233.
Due to driving habits, road conditions, climatic conditions and fuel quality and
other factors, the actual fuel consumption may be different from the fuel
consumption of this label.
To avoid label affecting the field of view, please remove the label after
purchasing the vehicle.
6.1.1.3.2 For non-external rechargeable hybrid vehicles, the contents are as
follows.
The fuel consumption data used in this label are measured according to GB/T
19753.
Due to driving habits, road conditions, climatic conditions and fuel quality and
other factors, the actual fuel consumption may be different from the fuel
consumption of this label.
To avoid label affecting the field of view, please remove the label after
purchasing the vehicle.
6.1.2 The “additional information area” is at the bottom of label. The main
contents contain label date of activation and additional information required
by the competent government authority, such as the record number.
6.2 Label specifications and pattern requirements
6.2.1 The label size shall at least be A5 (148.5 mm × 210 mm) specified in
GB/T 788. It can also use A4 (210 mm × 297 mm). Or the label with the size
of A5 or A4 in other dimensions shall ensure that its format meets the
requirements.
