Foreword
Clause 4, Clause 5, Clause 6 of this Standard are mandatory; the rest are
recommendatory.
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 19239-2003 Mounting requirements of special
equipment for liquefied petroleum gas vehicles and GB/T 19240-2003 Mounting
requirements of special equipment for compressed natural vehicles. Compared
with GB/T 19239-2003 and GB/T 19240-2003, the main technical changes are
as follows.
- Combined 19239-2003 and GB/T 19240-2003 as one standard; specified
mounting requirement, mounting method and inspection method of
special equipment for gas vehicles, including compressed natural vehicles,
liquefied petroleum gas vehicles;
- Deleted diesel-CNG dual-fuel and diesel-LPG dual-fuel vehicles;
- Modified provisions of general requirements (see 4.1.5 of this edition,
4.1.4 of 2003 edition);
- Modified mounting requirements of filling receptacle (see 4.3.1 of this
edition, 4.3 of 2003 edition);
- Modified leak test methods of gas vehicles (including CNG system and
LPG system) (see 5.1 of this edition, 6.3 of 2003 edition);
- Modified test method of cylinder mounting strength (see 5.3 of this edition,
6.3 of 2003 edition);
- Added mounting strength test of filling receptacle (see 5.4 of this edition).
This Standard references to the third revision of ECE R110 Uniform Provisions
Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with Regard to the Installation of Specific
Components of An Approved Type for the Use of Compressed Natural Gas in
Their Propulsion System and the second revision of ECE R67 Uniform
Provisions Concerning the Approval of Vehicles with Regard to the Installation
of Specific Components of An Approved Type for the Use of Liquefied
Petroleum in Their Propulsion System.
This Standard was proposed by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
of the People’s Republic of China.
Mounting requirements of
special equipment for gas vehicle
1 Scope
This Standard specifies mounting requirements, mounting method and
inspection method of special equipment for gas vehicle.
This Standard applies to compressed natural gas (hereinafter referred to as
CNG) single-fuel, gasoline/CNG duel-fuel vehicles of which the rated working
pressure is not greater than 20 MPa, and liquefied petroleum gas (hereinafter
referred to as LPG) single-fuel, gasoline/LPG duel-fuel vehicles of which the
rated working pressure is not greater than 2.2 MPa. Vehicles of other related
types of gas can reference to this Standard for implementation.

Instrumentation
ventilation shall be directed at the interface with the ground within the range of
45° cone. The total area of ventilation shall not be less than 450 mm2. After
seal-boxes, bellows and ventilation interfaces are mounted and tested
according to the method in 5.2, there shall be no leakage or permanent
deformation.
4.2.2 Cylinder valves and fittings shall have protective devices to prevent
collision, overturning, etc.; the distance between cylinder valve and vehicle
outer contour edge shall not be less than 200 mm. When cylinder is mounted
under vehicle chassis, it shall take effective protective measures, and cylinder
accessories are not permitted to be located before the front axle. When cylinder
is mounted in exposed space of vehicle, it shall take effective protective
measures.
4.2.3 Non-metallic plate shall be mounted between cylinder and fixed base.
Its fastening bolt shall have locking device.
4.2.4 After cylinder is firmly mounted, it shall meet the following technical
requirements.
- After conducting test in accordance with the method stipulated in 5.3.1,
the cylinder shall be still fixed on vehicle. There shall be no fracture, falling
off for fasteners;
- After conducting test in accordance with the method stipulated in 5.3.2,
fixing point relative displacement of cylinder and its fixing base shall not
exceed 13 mm.
4.3 Filling receptacle
4.3.1 Filling receptacle shall be mounted at position where it has appropriate
protection and is easy to perform inflation. Size of its outstanding vehicle
contour edge portion shall not exceed 10 mm.
4.3.2 After filling receptacle is mounted and tested in the test method
described in 5.4, there shall be no leakage.
4.4 Pipeline
4.4.1 High-pressure pipe is generally rigid pipe. Flexible pipe shall be used for
special part. It must use flexible pipe to connect components which can make
relative displacement. Flexible high-pressure shall use elastic fixing clip to fix
before and behind each bend. Spacing between fixing clips shall not exceed
300 mm.
4.4.2 High-pressure pipe fittings must not go through or be mounted in cab
and passenger compartment or positions where it is highly heated, vulnerable
not make friction with adjacent components. Overcurrent protective device shall
be set in circuit.
4.9.2 The electromagnetic valve shall be set between cylinder and pressure
regulator. The electromagnetic valve shall be mounted away from electrical
equipment. The mounting plate can not be in direct contact with the magnetic
element.
4.9.3 The mounting of electric component shall be performed in accordance
with electronic component mounting specifications.
5 Test methods
5.1 Leakage test of gas vehicle system
5.1.1 CNG system leakage test
CNG system leakage test shall be performed in method stipulated in 5.1.3 or
5.1.4, respectively under low pressure of 0.9 MPa ~ 1 MPa and high pressure
of 18 MPa ~ 20 MPa.
5.1.2 LPG system leakage test
LPG system leakage test shall be performed in method stipulated in 5.1.3 or
5.1.4, under system working pressure of 1.6 MPa ~ 2.2 MPa.
5.1.3 Fluid leakage inspection
It shall use neutral foaming liquid for test. Make foaming liquid to be coated on
the whole surface of detection part. Observe for at least 1 min. The detection
area shall be free of bubbles. After the test, it shall wipe foaming liquid off
detection part in case of corrosion to system components.
5.1.4 Leakage detector inspection
Before detection, clean off residual oil or sealant of inspection part so as to
prevent reaction of detector to several flammable gases (e.g., oil stains or vapor
of sealant) of which it shall cause the detected gas may not be leaked natural
gas or tracer gas. Wind speed shall be less than 3 m/s during detection.
It shall use explosion-proof digital display instrument of which accuracy is not
less than ± 5% FS, alarm set point is 0.025‰ to detect each connection
interface. There shall be no leakage alarm. The detection time shall be less
than explosion-proof instrument response time.
5.2 Tightness test of seal-boxes
The height of horizontal force application mechanism at vertical direction is
step-less adjustable.
5.3.2.1.2 Test apparatus shall adapt to different mounting modes of each
cylinder of different vehicle models.
5.3.2.1.3 Test apparatus shall be able to record and automatically display data
of force and displacement; automatically draw “force-displacement” curve.
5.3.2.2 Test methods
5.3.2.2.1 Based on actual mounting mode of original vehicle, size-structure of
test specimen, in accordance with test requirements, the mounting method shall
not strengthen the cylinder fixing.
5.3.2.2.2 Adjust force application mechanism, so as to make force application
point through cylinder center. Directions of force application are vehicle forward
direction, vertically upward direction and any direction of left and right.
5.3.2.2.3 Apply static force that is 8 times cylinder gravity when it is filled with
rated working pressure ONTO the test specimen. When it reaches to the preset
value, force shall be automatically stopped. It shall make a real-time recording
on data of force and displacement, draw “force-displace...
