GB 18078 “Health protection zone for agricultural and sideline food processing industry” is divided into 2 parts: - Part 1: Slaughter, meat-processing industry; - Part 2: Grain-grinding and feed-processing industry. This part is the part 1 of GB 18078. This part was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB 18078-2000 “Health protection zone standard for meat- works”. As compared with GB 18078-2000, the main changes of this standard are as follows: - CHANGE the standard name; according to the GB/T 1.1-2009 “Directives for standardization - Part 1: Structure and drafting of standards”, ADJUST the standard structure; - REVISE the definition of health protection zone. ADD the terms and definitions of sensitive area and complicated landform; - REVISE the standard limit of health protection zone; ADJUST the grading of wind speed and the grading of production scale; - ADD the requirements for greening. This part was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China. Responsible drafting organizations of this part: Environmental and Health- related Product Safety Institute of China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Wuhan Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Participated drafting organization of this part: Wuhan Jiangxia District Health Supervision Office. This part applies to the construction, reconstruction and expansion of slaughtering and meat-processing enterprises located in the plain area. Existing slaughter and meat-processing enterprises can refer to this standard. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document.
