Table of Contents Foreword ... 3  1 Scope ... 5  2 Normative references ... 5  3 Terms and definitions ... 6  4 Basic types and parameters ... 7  5 Technical requirements ... 10  6 Inspection and test methods ... 13  7 Inspection rules ... 17  8 Marking, packaging, storage and transportation ... 19  Foreword All the technical contents of this standard are mandatory. This standard makes reference to most contents of the international standard ISO 15500.2001 “Road vehicles – Compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel system components” on the compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicle (hereinafter referred to as valve) AND the pressure relief device. This standard replaces GB 17926-1999 “Compressed natural gas cylinder valve”. As compared with GB 17926-1999, the main changes and additions of this standard are as the following. - MODIFY the valve working temperature, from the original -40 °C ~ +60 °C to -40 °C ~ +85 °C; - MODIFY the valve body (including PRD shell) pressure bearing requirements, from the original 1.5 times the nominal working pressure to 4 times the nominal working pressure; - MODIFY the valve safety device pressure relief requirements; CHANGE the rapture pressure of the rapture disk into the hydraulic test pressure of the matching cylinder; CHANGE the acting temperature of the fusible alloy plug from 100 °C ± 5 °C to 110 °C ± 5 °C; - MODIFY the valve airtightness requirements and its test method, from the original test at room temperature to the test at different test temperatures and different test pressures; - MODIFY the temperature resistance requirements of the valve, from the original -40 °C and +60 °C to -40 °C and +85 °C; - MODIFY the durability requirements of the valve, from the original 4000 times at the constant pressure state to the 10000 times at the cyclic pressure state, including 200 times at high temperature and 200 times at low temperature; - ADD the terms and definitions; - ADD the basic type and parameters of the valve; - ADD the valve model; - ADD the valve inlet connection having a specification of M25 x 2 ordinary cylindrical thread; - ADD the valve outlet connection having a specification of NPT 1/4 taper pipe thread; Compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicle 1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic type and parameters, technical requirements, inspection and test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicles. This standard is applicable to the compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicles having a working temperature of - 40 °C ~ + 85 °C AND a normal working pressure of 20 MPa. 2 Normative references The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard; however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable. Rupture discs and gripping rings, glands and cocks can be assembled to form a rupture disc device. It is a non- reusable pressure relief device. 3.3 4.9 Model representation method The model of the valve is made up of the following parts. the compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicle is represented by the code “CTF”; when it is equipped with current limiting device, it is represented by the code “X”; when it is equipped with solenoid valve, it is represented by the code “D”; when it is not equipped with the devices above, the code “X” and/or “D” may be omitted; the design sequence number is represented by the Arabic numerals in order, AND the model changing sequence number is represented by the capital English letter in alphabetical order. Identification. For example. CTF XD2A represents the compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicles which are equipped with the current limiting device and the solenoid valve, which is designed for the second time AND model changed for the first time. 5 Technical requirements 5.1 Material requirements 5.1.1 Metallic materials The main metal parts of the valve (valve body, handle, pressure cap, safety cap) shall use the HPb59-1 bar material, which shall comply with the provisions of Table 1 and Table 2. If using other materials, they shall be compatible with the media, AND its mechanical properties shall not be less than the provisions in Table 1. If it cannot provide the quality warranty of the valve body (including PRD shell) material, it shall also be subjected to the stress corrosion resistance test, AND it shall be free from cracks after the test. Handwheel material shall adopt ZL102, AND its mechanical properties and chemical composition shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 1173. The burst disc material shall use the 1Cr18Ni9 stainless steel stripe, AND its mechanical properties and chemical composition shall comply with the requirements of the corresponding standards. Model changing sequence number Design sequence number Solenoid valve code Current limiting device code Code for compressed natural gas cylinder valve for vehicles 6.2.1 Oxidization aging resistance test PLACE the rubber seal in the oxygen having a temperature of 70 °C ± 2 °C and a test pressure of 2 MPa (purity ≥ 99.5%) for 96 hours, AND it shall be free from cracks or visible damage. 6.2.2 Media compatibility test IMMERSE the rubber seal samples in a compressed natural gas cylinder at room temperature and pressure of 20 MPa for 72 hours; TAKE it out and MAKE inspection immediately; AND it shall be free from cracking or crushing. The volume change rate as measured within 3 min shall be (-1% ~ + 25%), AND the mass change rate shall be less than ± 10%. 6.3 Valve body appearance inspection The appearance of the valve body is visually inspected AND complies with the ... ......
