1 Scope

This Standard specifies the method for the determination of aluminum, arsenic, calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, lead, and zincum in iron ore by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP- AES). This Standard applies to the determination of aluminum, arsenic, calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, lead, and zincum in iron ore. The determination range of each element is shown in Table 1. Table 1 -- Determination items and determination range Element Determination range /% Element Determination range /% Al 0.05 ~ 6.00 Mn 0.002 ~ 1.20 As 0.02 ~ 0.30 P 0.01 ~ 0.60 Ca 0.01 ~ 1.20 Pb 0.004 ~ 0.30 Cu 0.005 ~ 0.30 Zn 0.003 ~ 1.20 Mg 0.005 ~ 1.20

6 Sample

Prepare the sample according to GB/T 6730.1; dry it in an oven at (105 ± 5)°C for 2 h; place it in a desiccator to cool to room temperature.

7 Analysis steps

7.1 Weigh 0.2 g (accurate to 0.000 1 g) of sample; put it in an about 100 mL polytetrafluoroethylene digestion tank; add a small amount of water to wet; add 6 mL of hydrochloric acid (4.1), 2 mL of nitric acid (4.2), 1 mL of hydrofluoric acid (4.4); shake gently; cover the digestion tank tightly; put it into the microwave digestion furnace; close the furnace door; operate according to the set procedure (see Appendix C) according to the microwave digestion system operating procedures; after the sample is completely digested, remove for cooling; open the digestion tank; add 10 mL of boric acid solution (4.5); then, tightly close the digestion tank; put it in the microwave digestion furnace; heat for 3 min; take out for cooling; transfer all the test solution into a 100 mL volumetric flask; use water to fix-volume; shake well; after the test solution is clarified, test. Weigh two samples at the same time for parallel determination; take the average value as the result. Carry out a blank test along with the sample. 7.2 Turn on the instrument in accordance with the operating procedures; optimize the instrument's operating parameters; perform the determination after the instrument is stable. 7.3 Determine the spectral line intensity of each element in the mixed standard series solution according to the analysis conditions of the corresponding instruments; prepare the corresponding calibration working curve. The linear correlation coefficient of the curve is required to be greater than 0.999. See Table 2 for the standard solution series concentration. 7.4 Determine the spectral line intensity of each test element in the blank solution and the sample solution according to the conditions of the corresponding instrument; calculate the concentration of each test element from the calibration working curve. ......
