Foreword
This standard is modified in relation to "Fire-resistance Tests - Door and Shutter
Assemblies" (ISO 3008 2007) (English edition).
This standard is redrafted according to ISO 3008.2007.For the convenience of
comparison, the "Comparison List of Chapter and Article Numbers between ISO
3008.2007 and This Standard" is listed in Appendix A.
Considering China's national conditions, some changes are made in this standard at
adopting ISO 3008.2007.The relevant technical differences have already been
provided in the text and marked with perpendicular single line on the margin of
relevant clauses. “Technical Differences between this Standard and ISO 3008.2007
and Their Reasons” are provided in Appendix B for reference.
For the convenience of use, the following editorial changes of ISO 3008.2007 are
made in this standard.
--- "this international standard" is replaced by "this standard";
--- the comma "," used as the decimal point was replaced by the decimal point ". ";
--- the foreword and introduction in ISO 3008.2007 are deleted.
This standard replaces "Fire Resistance Tests - Door and Shutter Assemblies" (GB/T
7633-1987).
Compared with GB/T 7633-1987, the main changes in this standard are as follows.
--- the content of "Caution" is added to inform the users of matters concerned to be
noticed (in front of the "Scope" in this edition);
--- the chapter of "Scope" is added to further define the applicable object of this
standard (Chapter 1 in this edition);
--- the chapter of "Normative References" is added (Chapter 2 in this edition);

Fire Resistance Tests - Door and Shutter Assemblies
Caution. the attention of all persons concerned with managing and carrying out
this fire-resistance test is drawn to the fact that fire testing may be hazardous
and that there is a possibility that toxic and/or harmful smoke and gases may be
evolved during the test. Mechanical and operational hazards may also arise
during the construction of the test elements or structures, their test and
disposal of test residues. Therefore, an assessment of all potential hazards and
risks to health shall be made and safety precautions shall be identified and
provided. Appropriate training shall be given to relevant personnel. Laboratory
personnel shall ensure that they follow written safety instructions at all times.
1.Scope
This standard specifies the fire resistance test method for the door and shutter
assemblies installed at the opening of the vertical separating members, such as.

this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent
amendments to (excluding amending errors in the text), or revisions of, any of these
publications do not apply.
3.Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 5907
and GB/T 9978.1 as well as those listed below apply.
4.Test Equipment
Instrumentation of heat flux from the unexposed surface of test specimens shall
be made as described in Article 9.3.2.
5.Test Conditions
The temperature and pressure conditions in the test furnace shall meet the
requirements of GB/T 9978.1.
6.Test Specimen
The test specimen shall be manufactured according to the method specified in GB/T
9978.1.The material, manufacturing process, splicing and installation methods of test
specimen shall be fully representative of practical use conditions.
7.Installation of Test Specimen
The fire resistance of the supporting construction shall not be lower than that of the
test specimen, and shall not be determined during the test of test specimen.
8.Conditioning of Test Specimen
Where some product standards require mechanical performance test before the start
of the fire resistance test, test shall be carried out by reference to the requirements of
corresponding product standard.
9.Application of Instrumentation
The measurement of heat-flux from the unexposed surface of specimens shall be
made by an instrument complying with the following specifications.
