1 Scope
This standard defines the common terms and definitions of the functional
devices and performance of high-pressure die casting units.
This standard applies to die casting units, for high-pressure casting.
2 Terms and definitions
2.1 Functional device
2.1.1 Basic terminology

Die casting
The process, in which molten metal is press-injected into the mold AND kept
under high pressure, until it is completely solidified.

A power machine, that press-injects molten metal into a reusable mold, at
high pressure and high speed.

water, dust particles, as produced by the die casting unit.

Data collection, which is carried out for the purpose of process monitoring

The curve, which reflects the relationship between injection pressure,
injection punch displacement and time, as shown in Figure 2.

when the liquid metal reaches the fast injection transition point.
