1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, naming
methods, technical requirements, test methods and labeling requirements of
oligosaccharides.
This standard applies to liquid or solid (powder, crystalline) edible or feed
oligosaccharide products made from natural products or their conversion
materials as raw materials through enzymatic, acid-base conversion or direct
extraction processes.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) are applicable to this standard.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

6 Technical requirements
6.1 Requirements for raw and auxiliary materials
6.1.1 Edible oligosaccharides
It shall meet the requirements of relevant national standards or industry
standards. The use of food additives shall meet the requirements of
corresponding product standards.
6.1.2 Feed oligosaccharides
The raw materials and auxiliary materials used in the production of feed
oligosaccharide products shall comply with the provisions of 6.1 of GB/T 19424-
2003.
6.2 Sensory requirements
It shall meet the national standards or industry standards of the corresponding
products.
6.3 Physical and chemical indicators
6.3.1 Basic requirements
It shall meet the national standards or industry standards of the corresponding
products.
6.3.2 Contents of the iconic components of functional oligosaccharides
Functional oligosaccharides in functional oligosaccharide products (e.g.,
isomaltose, panose and isomaltose in isomalto-oligosaccharides) shall meet
the requirements of corresponding national standards or industry standards.
The content of the functional oligosaccharide component (based on dry basis)
which has no corresponding national standard or industry standard shall be
more than 50%.
6.4 Product hygienic requirements
6.4.1 Edible oligosaccharides
It shall meet the requirements of GB 15203.
6.4.2 Feed oligosaccharides
