4 Classification and Application of Frequency Band

4.1 Overview In order to ensure the coexistence between different applications and prevent mutual interference, this Part establishes various applications by classifying the frequency bands. NOTE: If it causes interference to radio communication services, additional provisions may be adopted. 4.2 3kHz~95kHz frequency band This frequency band is suitable for monitoring and controlling electrical equipment on low-voltage power distribution networks. The main equipment includes various smart metering instruments and monitoring and control terminals or devices. NOTE: A typical application example of this frequency band is the collection of electricity consumption information of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). 4.3 95kHz~150kHz frequency band This frequency band is suitable for: a) Monitor and control low-voltage electrical equipment in residential, commercial or industrial premises; b) Monitor and control electrical equipment installed or connected to the low-voltage power distribution network outside the site. NOTE 1: Typical application examples of a) may be intelligent buildings, intelligent homes and home energy management. NOTE 2: Typical application examples of b) may be street lamp control, energy metering, and electric vehicle charging and discharging. The equipment used in this frequency band is divided into Class-122 and Class-134 equipment. According to the specified measurement method, the maximum output level of Class-122 equipment is 122dB(µV); and the maximum output level of Class- In order to prevent damage to the equipment under test or test instrument, it shall be ensured that the power supply voltage applied to the equipment under test meets the power supply voltage range requirements specified by the equipment manufacturer. Generally, differential mode signaling shall be used. The common-mode signaling on the fixed mains network can only be used in commercial or industrial premises and work under the conditions described in Clause 7. If the common mode signal sent from the fixed power outlet to the fixed mains network is lower than the out-of-band disturbance limit specified in Clause 6, the common-mode signaling is allowed on a flexible cable. 5.1.2 Single-phase equipment measurement circuit To measure the output level in the frequency range of 3kHz~9kHz, an artificial mains network (AMN, Artificial Mains Network) that meets the impedance characteristics described in Figure 2 shall be used. To measure the output level in the frequency range of 9kHz~150kHz, a single-phase artificial mains network complying with 4.2 of GB/T 6113.102-2008 shall be used. To measure the output level in the frequency range of 150kHz~500kHz, a single-phase artificial mains network complying with 4.3 of GB/T 6113.102-2008 shall be used. NOTE: If the impedance (modulus and phase angle) of the single-phase artificial mains network complying with 4.2 of GB/T 6113.102-2008 in the frequency range of 150kHz ~ 500kHz meets the impedance requirements of 4.3 in GB/T 6113.102-2008; then the former single-phase artificial mains network is also suitable for the measurement of the frequency range of 150kHz~500kHz. NOTE 1: The NOTE of 5.1.2 also apply. If the user manual of the equipment clearly indicates that the three-phase equipment can connect all phase terminals to the same phase line as a single-phase equipment, the difference in load conditions between three-phase and single-phase may cause a) The signal bandwidth < 5kHz. The output level measured on any phase line shall not exceed 128dB(µV) at 9kHz, and shall not exceed 114dB(µV) at 95kHz. It decreases linearly with the logarithm of the frequency between 9kHz and 95kHz. b) The signal bandwidth is ≥5kHz. The output level measured on any phase line shall not exceed 128dB(µV). Appendix B

(Normative) Measurement Method (3kHz~30MHz) – Artificial Mains Network B.1 Overview In order to measure the terminal voltage generated by the signal transmission equipment, a V-shaped artificial mains network is required to provide a specified impedance to the terminal of the device under test within the radio frequency range; and an additional inductor is required to isolate the test circuit from the useless radio frequency signal on the power supply. This Appendix gives the relevant information of the artificial mains network, all other requirements are given in GB/T 6113.102-2008. B.2 Impedance B.2.1 3kHz~9kHz frequency range For the frequency range of 3kHz~9kHz, the correction network of 4.2 and Figure 4 in GB/T 6113.102-2008 shall be used, as shown in Figure 3. The impedance of the 0.47μF capacitor C3 (see Figure 3) is not negligible. Unless otherwise specified, the reading of the measuring device needs to be corrected due to the voltage dividing caused by this impedance. B.2.2 9kHz~30MHz frequency range The impedance of the V-shaped artificial mains network shall satisfy the 50Ω/50μH+5Ω and 50Ω/50μH specified in 4.2 Figure 1a) and 4.3 Figure 1b) of GB/T 6113.102-2008. NOTE 1: Pay attention to the NOTE of 4.2 in GB/T 6113.102-2008. NOTE 2: Pay attention to the consideration of correction factors in the detailed description of Table A.1 in Appendix A.2 of GB/T 6113.102-2008. ......
