1 Scope

This document applies to transfer switching equipment (TSE), to be used in power systems for ensuring the continuity of the supply and allowing the energy management of the installation, by transferring a load between power supply sources, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC.

3 Terms, definitions, symbols and abbreviated terms

Transfer switching equipment is classified according to.

5 Characteristics

The rated operational current of TSE is stated by the manufacturer according to subclause 5.3.2.3 of GB/T 14048.1-2023 for uninterrupted duty. It is possible for a device to have several Ie, depending on utilization category and operational voltages Ue.

6 Product information

Subclause 6.2 of GB/T 14048.1-2023 applies, where applicable, and according to Table 2 below. In addition to Table 2, all controls accessible to the operator shall be marked to indicate their function.

7 Normal service, mounting and transport conditions

Clause 7 of GB/T 14048.1-2023 applies. Standard conditions of vibration are defined in footnote b of Table Q.1 of GB/T 14048.1-2023.

8 Constructional and performance requirements

The main moving contacts of all phase poles of the switching device of a multipole TSE shall be so mechanically coupled that they make and break substantially together, whether operated manually, remotely, or automatically. Parts including stored charge (capacitors) that are removable for servicing (such as coil replacement), installation, or disconnection shall present no risk of electric energy hazard after disconnection.
