1 Scope
This section GB/T 13025 specifies the method for determination of iodine in iodized edible salt.
This section applies to direct titration add iodine salt iodization determination of iodine in salt consumption; redox titration method is suitable for Iodine
Determination of iodine in salt or iodine-containing reducing material consumption; spectrophotometry for rapid determination of iodine.

3.1 Direct titration
3.1.1 Principle
In acidic medium, the sample of potassium iodate oxide deposited elemental iodine with sodium thiosulfate standard titration solution titration test

3.1.2 Reagents
3.1.2.1 Reagents Specifications
Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical reagents and GB/T 66822-2008 specified tertiary water.
3.1.2.2 phosphoric acid solution (1mol/L)
Measure 17mL85% phosphoric acid, diluted with water to 250mL.
3.1.2.3 potassium iodide solution (50g/L)
Weigh 25.0g of potassium iodide, dissolved in water and diluted to 500mL, stored in a brown bottle, using now.
3.1.2.4 potassium iodate standard solution
Accurately weigh 1.427g ± 2 ℃ drying to constant weight of potassium iodate reference reagent at 110 ℃, placed in 150mL beaker, dissolved in water,
Moved into 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark with water, shake, and this solution at a concentration of c (16KIO3
) = 4.000 × 10-2mol/L.
The above solution was diluted 20-fold accurate to give a concentration of c (16KIO3
) = 2.000 × 10-3mol/L potassium iodate standard solution.
