1 General provisions
1.0.1 This code is developed with a view to unifying the quality acceptance for
construction of ventilation and air conditioning and guaranteeing the work safety and quality.
1.0.2 This code is applicable to construction quality acceptance of the ventilation and air
conditioning for industrial and civil buildings.
1.0.3 This code shall be used in conjunction with the current national standard GB 50300
Unified Standard for Constructional Quality Acceptance of Building Engineering.
1.0.4 The requirements for constructional quality of work which are specified for
ventilation and air conditioning works in engineering technical document and work contract
shall not be lower than those specified in this code.
1.0.5 The construction quality acceptance for ventilation and air conditioning works shall
comply with not only this code but also the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms

3 Basic requirements
3.0.1 The acceptance for construction quality of ventilation and air conditioning works
shall comply with not only the provisions of this code but also approved design documents
and contracted items.
3.0.2 As far as works modification is concerned, a design alteration notice or technical
approval from the Designer must be provided. Where the construction enterprise
undertakes in-depth design for the construction drawings of ventilation and air conditioning,
the drawings shall be confirmed by engineering design organization.
3.0.3 The main raw materials, as well as the material, specification and performance of
finished product, semi-finished product and equipment, shall comply with the design
documents and current national standards and materials or equipment that are expressly
prohibited or obsoleted by the State shall not be adopted. The site acceptance of main raw
material, finished product, semi-finished product and equipment shall meet the following
requirements.
4 Duct making
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The quality acceptance of duct shall be carried out respectively by the material,
processing technique and system class and shall cover such items such as the material,
specification, strength, tightness and as-finished appearance quality of duct.
4.1.4 By working pressure, duct systems shall be classified into four categories -- micro-
pressure, low pressure, medium pressure and high pressure, which shall adopt duct of
corresponding category. Ducts shall be classified according to Table 4.1.4.
4.1.7 The material of the duct for air cleaning and conditioning system shall meet the
following requirements.
4.3 General items
4.3.1 The fabrication of metallic duct shall meet the following requirements.
4.3.5 The curvature radius and section quantity of circular elbow shall be in accordance
with those specified in Table 4.3.5.The fabrication deviation for the bending angle of
circular elbow as well as the included angle between the branch of circular tee/cross and
the main duct shall not be larger than 3°.
4.3.6 The elbow of rectangular duct should adopt the form with one plane side length as
the curvature radius and the inner and outer arcs concentrical. When elbow of other form
is adopted and the side length of the plane is larger than 500mm, a flow deflector must be
installed for the elbow.
4.3.7 The included angle of single-side reducer for duct should not be less than 30°, while
that of double-side reducer should not be less than 60°. The included angle between the
branch and main duct of circular duct should not be greater than 60°.
Inspection quantity. according to Scheme II.
Inspection method. by measuring with ruler and visual inspection.
5 Duct accessory
5.1 General requirements

5.3 General items
5.3.1 The moving mechanism of duct accessory shall actuate flexibly, braking and
positioning devices shall actuate reliably and the flange specification shall be compatible
with the duct flange connected.
Inspection quantity. according to Scheme II.
Inspection method. by visual inspection, manual manipulation and measuring with ruler.
5.3.8 The connection between the filtering material and framework of filter shall be tight
and firm and the installation direction shall be correct.
5.3.9 The connection between the heating tube of the electric heater within duct and the
outer frame and tube wall shall be firm and reliable and well insulated and the metallic
enclosure shall be reliably connected with PE wire.
5.3.10 Inspection door shall be flat and smooth, open/close flexibly, and close tightly. Its
connection with duct or air treatment chamber shall be provided with sealing measures
and free of perceptible leakage point. The sealing padding for the duct inspection door of
air cleaning and conditioning system shall adopt formed sealing adhesive tape or soft
rubber strip.
6 Duct system installation
6.1 General requirements
6.1.1 Duct system, after installation, shall be subjected to tightness inspection and shall
be delivered to next process provided it is qualified by the inspection. Main and trunk pipes
are the key of duct system tightness inspection and shall meet the requirements of Annex
C of this code.
6.2 Dominant items
6.2.1 The installation of supports and hangers of duct system shall meet the following
requirements.
6.2.2 When duct passes through fire- and explosion-proof wall or floor slab, steel
protective sleeves with the thickness of no less than 1.6mm must be arranged;
incombustible flexible materials shall be filled between duct and protective sleeves
to block them tightly.
6.2.3 The installation of duct must meet the following requirements.
6.2.4 Duct with more than 60℃ of surface temperature and readily accessible to human
shall be arranged with anti-scalded measures.
6.2.9 After the installation of duct system, appearance test on construction quality shall
be conducted according to system types. Upon qualification, the tightness inspection of
duct system shall be carried out; air leakage ratio shall meet the design requirement, the
requirements of 4.2.1 of this code and the following requirements.
6.3 General items
6.3.1 Installation of duct supports and hangers shall meet the following requirements.
6.3.8 The air valve shall be installed according to the following requirements.
6.3.11 The silencer and plenum chamber shall be installed according to the following
requirements.
7 Installation of fan and air handling equipment
7.1 General requirements
7.1.1 The fan and air handling equipment shall be accompanied with packing list,
instructions, product qualification certificate and performance test report; for imported
equipment, commodity inspection certificate shall also be provided.
7.2 Dominant items
7.2.1 The fan and its cabinet shall be installed according to the following requirements.
7.2.2 The exposed part of the driving device for the fan and the air inlet/outlet must
be arranged with protective casing (net) or taken with safety measures.
Inspection quantity. 100% inspection.
Inspection method. by checking against the design drawings and observation.
7.2.5 The terminal devices of air conditioner shall be installed according to the following
requirements.
7.3 General items
7.3.1 The fan and fan cabinet shall be installed according to the following requirements.
8 Cold/heat source and auxiliary equipment installation
8.1 General requirements
8.2 Dominant items
8.2.1 The refrigeration unit and accessory equipment shall be installed according to the
following requirements.
8.2.5 The installation of gas pipe must meet the following requirements.
8.3.6 VRV air conditioning system shall be installed according to the following
requirements.
8.3.8 Where oil pump of fuel system and refrigerant pump of cold storage system are
installed, the permissible deviation of longitudinal/transversal levelness shall be 1‰, the
permissible axial inclination deviation of two central spindles of coupling shall be 0.2‰, the
permissible radial movement shall not be greater than 0.05mm.
9 Installation of pipeline and equipment of air conditioning water system
9.1 General requirements
9.1.1 Threaded connection, instead of welding, shall be adopted for galvanized steel
pipes and steel pipes with anti-corrosion coating. Where the pipe diameter is greater than
DN100, clamp or flange connection may be adopted.
9.2 Dominant items
9.2.1 The performance and technical parameters of the equipment of air conditioning
water system and its accessory equipment, as well as the type, material and connection of
pipes, fittings and valves shall meet the design requirements.
Inspection quantity. according to Scheme I.
Inspection method. by observation and consulting product qualification certificate and
material approaching acceptance record.
9.2.3 Hydraulic test shall be carried out according to the design requirements after the
pipe system is installed and passes the appearance inspection. Where no such design
requirements are available, the following requirements shall apply.
